Nasal Moisturizers

Nasal moisturizers are a popular product sold in drugstores and beauty stores across the country. Although they may seem like a simple item, nasal moisturizers actually contain several active ingredients that work to relieve symptoms associated with allergies and other respiratory problems.

There are three basic types of nasal moisturizers. Saline nasal moisturizers are the simplest kind and consist of a solution containing sodium chloride (table salt). This type of nasal moisturizer helps clear mucus from the nose and throat. It also provides relief from congestion caused by allergies and sinus infections.

Steroid nasal moisturizers are similar to saline nasal moisturizers except that they contain steroids instead of sodium chloride. Steroids are powerful anti-inflammatory drugs that reduce swelling and inflammation. They also promote healing and prevent scar tissue from forming.

Oxygenated nasal moisturizers are the newest type of nasal moisturizer. Oxygenated nasal moisturizers contain oxygen molecules that increase blood flow throughout the body. This increases circulation and promotes cell growth. As a result, skin becomes smoother and healthier.
