WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I will be comparing this and the Vaultek VT20 pistol safe because I currently own both. I will begin by stating that the value of this safe is exceptional. It appears very well built, and there were no visible flaws. It arrived nicely packaged. The biometric feature works nicely, the buttons are large and the biometric feature is helpful. I was surprised at the efficiency of the fingerprint reader in opening the safe. It also stores up to 20 different finger prints. The safe is large and has padding. It locks securely and positively and springs open very well. Let me quickly get to the comparison. The VT20 was approximately twice the cost of this safe. If I had opted for the biometric version of Vaultek, the Vaultek would be nearly three times the cost. I can say confidently that the Vaultek is superior in every respect. The Vaultek is nearly twice as heavy, has double wall construction, internal hinges and two locks which appear twice as thick as this safe. The padding on the Vaultek is thicker and better. The batteries are rechargeable. The internal, light lighted buttons and app help you change settings and reset the safe in case of tampering. All being said, this is an inexpensive safe. Become a Vaultek, if you want more features and more secure safes and are willing to spend two to three times as much.
The gun safe is nice The fingerprint scanner is very easy to use and setup. The safe itself can not be stolen nor the contents of the safe, however, it comes with a steel cable that locks the safe in place. I found this to be of reasonable price. I am happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the same. A handgun, passport, cash and valuable documents storage, and other such items.
I ordered this safe the other day and have been using it since. It is a great design overall. The numbers are large and easy to hit quickly without accidentally hitting any others, the fingerprint reader works within a second or two at the most, and the backup key is easy to use as well.Overall construction is good. It's sturdy, heavy gauge metal with an appealing fit and finish. I would feel safe leaving a hand gun in this at my house or while traveling in my vehicle. This case has a nice steel cable that can be used to lock it to furniture, or to your car seat. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for in a pistol box. An item that is clean, easy to travel with, easy to use, and sturdy enough to deter theft. I have been using it for a few days, but it has been able to go. I will update it when it is necessary.
My fingerprints make my opening quite simple. The procedure for adding them is quite straightforward, though I did have to try some hard work to make it right. Do not add one finger. This will allow you to make an easy entry in the event your Fingerprint Finger becomes infected or dirty. I'm also glad that digital code and key can be considered backup options. I am not sure of a way to turn off the beeping when entering your code and fingerprints. I do not understand why that is a feature on most of the vaults I have come across. The silver lining is that the beep is subtle and very short. I was hoping for it to be a little heavier. This size is definitely carried away, no matter the weight. Yet, despite lack of weight, it has a solid build, biometric entry, and included security cables.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I bought this safe on a whim, even though I read the negative reviews about the fingerprint feature. It is perfect. The finger print setting was in fact the most difficult part. I am glad that I bought it.
Because of today's technology and safers, I began looking for an effective alternative that would provide quick access, multiple options to open it, and a key or non electronic option. My gun has the Awesafe fingerprint reader and the code. The fingerprint reader is very precise and requires that you have your finger on it the same way in order for it to read and open. It's a difficult experience, however, with practice, you can minimize the number of attempted attempts you receive. A second option with a numerical code along with a key gives you three ways to open the safe and peace of mind that you can get it open. Once opened, the contents are illuminated by a blue light. I would recommend this to anyone who requires a flat, small profile safe at your bedside, in the office, in the RV, or anywhere you require quick access to a handgun or other protection device.
I spent several hours reading reviews of various gun safes, on numerous web sites, before selecting the Awsafe's 2. Some safes exist that offer excellent security, however, the AwSafe satisfies my criteria for structural integrity, fingerprint reader with backup, physical size, and price. The safe easily fits my full size 9mm and my 380 along with two magazines. I can fit this in a drawer and that is only three inches high. It does need to be stored back in the drawer in order to be used with the fingerprint reader and the key. The doors open smoothly with the gas cylinder, but the unlock sound could be quieter. The set up button is located inside behind the battery box. The lock mechanism is well protected so destruction is the only way in. If you are in possession of another safe, you can gain access to either one without a problem. Setup was simple, and taking my time, it had dune in a half hour. The only issue that I had was that the instructions call for a four number code, but do not discuss pressing two numbers at the same time. If you press two numbers at the same time, then that counts as two numbers. It is not a big deal, but it would have saved me some attempts. It will keep my firearms reasonable safe, and that is what matters.
I purchased a larger safe suitable for two pistols. First thing I noticed was the weight of the packaging. This thing is solidly constructed. The manufacturer provided clear and comprehensive instructions, and setting up the lock features was relatively easy. I had some trouble setting up the biometric reader initially, but found that the fingerprints needed firm, steady presses to read. The same thing happens when unlocking it. No matter how you unlock the safe, the door will open with authority. It reveals a LED lit compartment. The 4 AA batteries were supplied and were a nice touch. The storage is adequate rather than generous. It does hold a pair of Glocks and four magazines, however due to the depth of the cavity it will not hold much else unless it is flat. Money and passports would be fine, but overall, I am happy with the Safe and find it to be the best value.
This safe worked flawlessly until now. I purchased the larger one, to make use of more room in the future. The picture doesn't reflect what is there. If you are looking for a safe to fit into a dresser drawer or small space, buy the small one. The safe was easy to install out of the box. I set up the four digit code and registered two finger prints in about ten minutes. Do each finger twice when completing your finger prints. The bottom portion of your fingertip and the top. I did it in this manner, so it opens without any problems, regardless of where I place my finger on the reader. It has a solid material, as well as solid hinges. Some of the aforementioned individuals had different opinions, as it is most likely the unit they received was not good. I also added the warranty.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It is a nice product for the money. This is heavy, 15 pounds of solid steel. It is much heavier than it looks. The door opens with authority and inside is a foam liner. The area would accommodate two full size handguns and a few extra pieces of equipment. It features several holes for mounting. They also give you the hardware to do it. When I have the chance, I will attach it somewhere. The manual was surprisingly nice as well. The fingerprint reader is nice, it opens quickly and has six buttons instead of the usual five. Your code could be more secure. I would recommend The Handgun Safe because it is an excellent value for money.
I wanted more in my shopping process, so that is what I am posting. This includes a fullsize Glock-22 with three additional mags and a loaded babyGlock Glock 27 with one extra mag. It is highly sturdy, as both Glock Mags have the+1 extension. Heavy is not a good thing unless it is safe. Also, biometrics function perfectly which is obviously extremely necessary. The system can store up to 20 fingerprints and the manual code can be up to eight digits, so it is more secure than those with less numerals. All in all, it is worth every penny. I would of paid more.
As with most purchasers I wanted my gun to be as accessible as possible, and yet as secure as possible. After many hours of research, I chose this biometric safe from Moutec I received it quickly. I had it coded for 15 variations of my two pointer fingers, and also my numeric code within ten minutes. The programming is very simple. The online videos at their website are perfect clear and accurate. The safe itself is very sturdy and appears to have good antiprying capabilities. It also fits into my nightstand drawer, although it is slightly too deep for the door to fully open. The ability to make the beeps silent is a great feature. I see some problems. The safe door only opens partially, though the door is too deep for my drawer. I could get my hand in and retrieve the weapon. While quieting the beeps is excellent, the noise the safe makes upon opening (the click of the lock mechanism and the slam as the door opens and hits the topside of the dresser drawer) spoils the silence needed in some situations where you would want it. Other than these two problems, the safe is excellent and well worth the cost.
We purchased this item because many others have said good things about it, and the price was very reasonable. Everything that is good, from what we have read, is correct. It seems very solid. Setup could not be simpler. The fingerprint reader was the biggest surprise. We set up three fingers and getting each one set without having to make a second attempt for any of them. It was wonderful, since experience has shown that fingerprint readers generally take two to three attempts to get a finger registered correctly. The request for three scans of the finger. All three scans were complete. It was something I did not expect. I wondered what would happen if I stood to the side and tried to use fingerprints to get in? Perhaps you could take a photo of yourself from the back. The other idea is that once the finger is registered, the reader will read your finger from any angle in order to attain the match. I was concerned that maybe the thing was so loose it allowed anything to pass. I tried to use all of my other fingers from multiple angles. Only the registered fingers matched, and they matched on every attempt. That is a wonderful fingerprint mechanism.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
The product is not expensive, but they are extremely durable with strong magnetic keys and an extra battery in the package. I believe it is worth over a hundred dollars. The only concern I have is that the keypad has only eight digits. I hope they can have more but that is my personal opinion.
My wife and I are very satisfied with the finger print reader and its backup system. We purchased this safe to keep our important documents safe from getting damaged in case of unforseen accidents. It appears that the locking device is very sturdy.
I really like the fingerprint reader, it works better then my more expensive safe.
It is easy to use and ideal for small things.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I wanted to write this review because of the things that I have read concerning this safe and other safes in this price range. Do not be fooled. If you order a safe mail order there is a good chance that it will come dented. It might look a bit ugly but it does not affect its purpose. Nature of the beast. Do not worry about it. The fingerprint reader is good, but not perfect. Don't expect perfection with sloppy fingerprint readings. You will not have any issues if you hold your finger on the sensor exactly as it was recorded. In third place, it is very light. You can fix it to a wall or some heavy furniture. This safe is not a complete definition of security when it comes to safes. Do not treat it like Fort Knox. Treat it as a barrier against theft. But do everything else to protect your precious things. This is a simple way to be safe. It is not waterproof. When set up correctly, it will provide adequate protection against unauthorized access and theft attempts. Certainly, just hide it safely. Anchor it to a solid object. In addition, have a home alarm system that sirens during the entire time the thief is trying to decide how to remove the safe from your home if he even finds it. You might return home to the safe with the thief behind. However, your fingerprint reader may be a good idea if you are more frightened of what can happen. It's quick compared to other biometric devices that I own. The device unlocks the safe in under a second. It is able to detect when the finger is pressed against the sensor. Other devices require an activation button for biometric scanners. Everything has been working perfectly to date. I appreciate the safety features of this application.
Before making the decision, I researched purchasing this safe for three moths and it was the safe best suited for my needs. The following are some key decisions to make about these topics. It is important that it is not too big so it is easier to secure. It is not very bright, but when the lights are off, it is not blinding either. It is not a heavy safe, so fitting the locking bolts centralized into place with the four mounting bolts included is highly recommended. You should consider that this is not a firesafe. I already had a fire safe for my documents.
In order to close our bank's deposit box, I researched safes. It seemed to be the safest for us for all of the features. It is not fireproof, but it is very well built. It arrived quickly and appears to be very easy to learn to set the different ways to enter. There are a few small chips of paint around the door. I am very happy with the Safe. It would be worth purchasing it again.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I like the setup and lack of a manual because it is good enough to see and retain night vision. The voice prompt tells you which key to press to add, delete, or change code. Sixdigits and keep fingerprints high for over one hundred. It fulfills the need for legally safe stored arms with minimal time needed for retrieval. The size P89 is displayed for size comparison. I can view four. It depends on your frame size and the layout inside. I will attempt to upload a video regarding and you can see what all fits.
I just received my safe. I found it to be very good quality, with a double latch system, and a very convenient led light inside. The biometric lock and combo lock are easy to set up with the audio and voice instructions. Most safes have the biometric opening which is not always useful if your hands are dirty or wet from being washed. This is a recommendation I would highly recommend to others.
That is a good lockbox. It is very heavy and well constructed. It is easy to setup and access either using the fingerprint, the code, or the keys. I will definitely be purchasing another one.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
This gun safe is exceptional. Using a safe with instant opening makes home defense a reasonable option while protecting the gun from other types of gun use. The gun safe arrived in a plain box, and the packaging was well packed. The safe is quite heavy. The setup is relatively simple once you receive it. To begin, remove the metal cover from the key hole with the included hex tool. You are able to unlock it with the two included keys. If you want to open in an area with low clearance, the lid has a tendency to lift with some force. After that, the first step is to locate the battery compartment using the diagram in the instruction booklet. I needed to push more than I felt comfortable to remove the protective cover, but once out, it is easy to install four alkaline batteries, and then replace the entire battery holder back into place. In addition, you can set up your 3-8 digit code, numbering from 1-4 on the keyboard, and several fingerprints with the reset button, which is described in the instruction booklet. I was concerned that it would only work on one finger, however you can set multiples. You can setup your fingerprint on each finger in multiple ways, so you won't have to worry about how well you put your fingerprint on the reader each time. When you open the safe, the power is running, and a small white light illuminates the contents. It is also padded on the inside, similar to a typical gun case. It is alarming if a mistake is made in using the wrong fingerprint or code five times. When a vibration is present, it produces an alarm. Finally, there is an area on the lid of the safe for placing small documents. Overall, I appreciate the combination of safety and quick access that this gun safe provides.
I enjoy this safe very much. Even though I have tried a few of these, I found that fingerprint readers are generally unreliable and slow. The safe is easy to set up and works quickly. As a backup, it carries the code and the key. It has room enough for a standard size pistol in a holster along with several magazines, which is nice. It even includes a light when you open the lid. It's nice to have a USB port to power it in the event the batteries go dead.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
The gun safes were delivered earlier than I had anticipated. I just finished setting up my pin code and biometric fingerprint. You will need to find out which two of five pistols will be stored inside of it together with the ammunition. I highly recommend this pistol safe to anyone who is in need of one. You should check out this website if you are looking to purchase one. You will not be disappointed.
I needed a bigger gun safe and this one works great for all three guns. It has the key entry fingerprint, and a numerical code. Comes with a lock, so that it can be linked to whatever you have it on. Mine is secured onto my dresser. Children will not be able to access it. I would recommend it to anyone with children.
