Great safe and great service. I would purchase again from Mesa Safe. I will recommend Mesa Safe to other customers also. We have a locking safe bag which is valued at over $25.

I have had this in my business for 3 years. We access it twice a day, seven days a week. I have replaced the battery three times. If the battery is out, it will not unlock, but it may be heard. That is when I replace the battery. It is worth it because I have the ability to set a new code every six months. You can not do that with the knob style.

I had these for two years and they have been functioning since. They are perfect for a handyman to install into concrete floors with bolts. The little pieces included are excellent quality and are not too difficult to remove. There are no issues with the digital key pad. In an emergency, I always have the backup key. The downside of this model is that the keyhole cap is almost impossible to remove. I either keep it off, or hold it with some tape. I would not recommend gluing the cap, in the event you need to use your key. I have purchased two units on Amazon. I really enjoy them. I wish they had made them bigger with a depository slot.

The safe is definitely worth the money. It's heavy duty and provides a safe place for documents. The slot is perfect for my needs. There are three complaints I see in the write ups and I might be able to help. The code resets when you remove the batteries, and try again. The safe can be opened without keys or a combination code if you do not enable it. I do not know if this is true, but most leading brand safes for under $200 dollars can be opened easily. Search on Google for this information. The safe features antithief protection. These very secure safes sell for hundreds. It is highly recommended that you do not lock a gun in an inexpensive safe. Buy lithium batteries that do not discharge when not in use and will last a long time.

We purchased this item for our PTO and it has been very satisfying. The treasurer has been free from daily collecting the returned money at school. It is small and it works. When I first set up this, getting to the keyhole was a bit difficult. I found a flathead and was able to pick it off and it has been a breeze since then.

Use in my business to make daily deposits. Deposits can be made overnight at this location. I am happy with my purchase.

I use cheap items. It is a good way for me to save money. Sometimes, I get out of the car and give my girlfriend the keys. This is a great way for me to filter out my foolish purchases.

This is not a bank vault. If that is what you are looking for, I would suggest you look elsewhere. If you're looking for a highquality medium duty depository safe, this one is for you. My first depository safe was a Barska, but since it stopped working I decided to try the new Viking depository safe. I'm taking risks because I own an in wall safe called a Viking 52BLX and I believe it is a quality safe. I have gambled and won with a Viking Safe. It cost a little more than the Barska Safe, but the quality is much better. I would like to explain some of the differences. Vikings weight is about twice the Barska's safe weight. When you strike a baraka, you will immediately realize how much thinner it is. The Viking safe has a light so you can make sure to leave no deposit bags. The baraka is dark. The barak has a large gap, which allows wires to be used to obtain money. There are pictures to follow as you can read in the Barska reviews. People are complaining about mysterious disappearances in the value of money. You cannot pry open the Viking doors due to the fact they are laser cut. Barska has a small opening that may allow it to be pried open. The Viking Keys are high security keys, with B ratings. These keys are double sided and look like two keys in one. The Barska has cheap barrel keys that can be opened with a paper clip. The Viking has 25 mm bolts and the hinges are much stronger. This might prevent an Attack by a Hammer. A baraka has two small hinges. The door openers are spring opening. To open a barka you will need to twist a wobbly handle. The opening and closing buttons are motorized in Viking. Barska required the cumbersome, wobbly handle, which ended up breaking. In another last point, they also have a bigger model for those who need more space.

I purchased this safe in order to prevent company employees from stealing money from an unsaved safe. I was not sure how it would happen in the beginning because the safe looked clean and unobserved. It became obvious once I searched the internet on how to steal from a depository safe. Investigate whether or not you need to do some mailbox fishing. Basically, put duct tape to a string, then pull the items out. Our old barska safe had a large gap and I was able to remove items in less than a minute. It took me a few seconds to get the string and tape, but once I had it working it took a few seconds. Now forward to the Viking box. The reason I purchased it was because it is supposed to have the best antifishing design on the market. I was skeptical at first, but the results were great. After receiving it, I aced the same test that I did for the Barska safe. I was able to get the tape and string into the safe, but every time I tried to pull something out, it would be yanked back into it. There is no more fishing, the safe appears very heavy duty. It is not a vault by any stretch, but it does do the job. It also has some nice features such as a spring opening door. Being able to have a master code was important for me, so I can let employees open a safe but never lock us out if they try. Other nice extra touches that I have discovered include an LCD screen, motorized opening, and ambient lighting. The latter is greatly appreciated as it does help ensure no one is left behind. I highly recommend buying the Viking VS-40DS depository safe. The extra money you pay is well worth it, and will be easily paid off by not having any money stolen.

The Viking Security Depository Safe VS-40DS was very good. We are using the drop safe at our church to secure the counted funds until they can be taken to the bank for deposit. The drop door and outside casing are very well made. Allows for two codes. The Master Code and the Employee Code can be changed to any three to eight digit number that you would like. The instructions to change the codes were simple to follow. I choose this safe with backup keys should the digital lock ever be destroyed. Other safes rely entirely on the digital mechanism. I love tech, but you have to always prepare for a failure. Drop door made by Antifish Design. Once the item is put into the drop door, and the door is shut, there is no way for it to be pulled back up. The safety device is installed, and the holes are predrilled. It also comes with the bolts for securing the safe. Upon entering your codes to open the safe, the electronic door will open, and the lights will come on. Yes, it is nice to see what is inside. I would say the LCD screen is a wonderful tool for a picture of what's going on. No handle is required because of a motorized opening and closing. When you enter the correct code, the locking bolt retracts and the door opens. I have a large lockable bank bag and I have to fold it one time in order for it to fit in the door and go down the chute. I was very pleased with the product. I had no issues with the disposable bank bags going down the chute. I am glad I opted for the Viking rather than the Barska.

I received a safe for a store so the staff could place larger bills into it. It also kept the end of the night money inside. It has a small drop box on top, it drops into the first safe. The second one underneath does not open into the other parts at all. I keep extra bills, coins, and keys in that safe, and it is nice that it has two different combinations as well. The staff may be able to get it out, but they are not able to receive the end of the night money or large bills. There is a 'jaw' thing underneath the drop box, so nobody would ever be able to get to anything without missing a hand. It is a slight exaggeration. We bolted it to the cabinetry without any problems. It is a heavy beast. I was very happy with my purchase it is difficult to tell if you love or hate something until you get it. It does come with one key for each of the two doors. One of mine was very bent, but still works. These keys look like the older long, large, ornate style keys, not a small, normal looking one. You will need to be there if you are locked out. It is simple to program, easy to get in and out, and I love the lights inside so you can actually see everything in there. It is definitely worth purchasing.

It is a very simple, clean design. It is a pleasant color combination. After I bought the safe, I was surprised at how well made it is as well. The walls and the door are very heavy. Bolts are moving quickly to lock and unlock. The keypad is made of aluminum, not plastic. Buttons are easy to press. A blue, lit screen can be seen easily. I did not pay attention to the improvements on the antifishing design this model has. The difference between it and the main depository safe is very significant once I compared it. The Viking model makes the content untouchable after depositing it. The override key - OMG, this is an old style, tough boy. It contains two identical bits that point in opposite directions. It is like two keys working together. It has nothing to do with the safe keys that I have seen. I want to be assured of the fact that the safe cannot be opened with a paper clip. Additionally, the safe has become the default depository safe for our company. I do not use the other one any more. I plan to acquire a second Viking Depository safe.

I installed this in a building for a homeowners association. The old mailbox installed outside had been tampered with. It was damaged and destroyed by people trying to break into it to get money checks etc. This unit is mounted on the outside has a deflector to deter anyone from getting into the receiver box inside. It is easy to install and provides the security desired by the HOA. I highly recommend this unit.

We purchased this item for our retail store and need a cash drop box. It was very easy to install, and was located just outside the secure office. The workers are able to easily make a drop, but can not obtain money. Safe keys allow access to drops on the inside. This is what we were looking for. Simple to install and very professional looking.

Just what I was looking for to prevent the dog from eating mail. This works well because people can no longer reach the box or look into the house through the mail slot.

I received the item in the manner indicated. The unit was easily installed. It took an hour to install. It appears that it is well constructed. Mine came with four keys. I ordered the off white color it blends very well with our wall paint which I was looking for. I would recommend this product to anyone.

It has a strong design. It fit perfectly and it was mounted outside of my front door. It is made of a thick, slightly heavy metal. It is a beautiful red with no effect of the metal having been painted. It should not have chips or rust. That is important to people who live in the Pacific Northwest. I employ a pet siting company from my home office, and wanted a drop box large enough for keys and letters. Just that is all that I need it for. It doesn't fit large envelopes or packages. If I wanted that kind of capacity, I wouldn't have purchased this. I appreciate that I now have a safe way for people to leave keys and checks to me. Thank you again.

I love the size and the color. It was true to that description. The packaging was excellent as well.

I really enjoyed this product because I received a box with key returns.

We purchased this box for our business. It arrived in a timely manner, looks very solid, and will work well for our purpose. We liked that it came in a variety of colors, so we could purchase one that would match the trim of our building.

Buyer's Guide

How To Choose The Best Drop Safe

A drop safe is a great way to store important documents and valuables safely away from prying eyes. They come in various sizes, shapes, and designs, but they all have one thing in common - they keep things secure by locking them inside a box. This makes them ideal for storing cash, jewellery, passports, and other valuable items. However, choosing the right type of drop safe can be tricky.

What Is A Drop Safe?

They are typically made of plastic and come in different sizes and shapes. The smaller ones are ideal for holding jewelry and coins while the larger ones hold documents, cash, and other valuable items. Most drop safes have an interior compartment where the contents are stored and an exterior door that opens to reveal the contents once the container has been opened.

Where Should I Buy My Drop Safe?

You will want to make sure that the drop safe you purchase is sturdy enough to withstand everyday wear and tear. Also, look for a drop safe that is easy to open and close because this will save you time when you need to retrieve something from the safe.

Do I Need A Drop Safe?

If you plan on keeping large amounts of money, important papers, or valuables in your home, then you may want to consider purchasing a drop safe.

Who Needs A Drop Safe?

Drop safes are designed to protect valuable items such as jewelry, cash, and other valuables. But did you know that they can also be useful for storing documents and files?

Whether you use a drop safe for personal or business purposes, it's essential to store your most sensitive information inside one. After all, anything stored in a drop safe is vulnerable to theft or fire damage. Even worse, thieves could break into your home and steal your things while you aren't around.

But what happens if you forget where you put your drop safe? Or what if you move house and you can't find it?

That's where document lockers come in handy. Document lockers are portable filing cabinets that allow you to securely store papers and files. These units are perfect for keeping track of important paperwork, receipts, and bills. They're also ideal for storing important documents that need to remain confidential.

Document lockers are typically made of steel and feature two doors. One door has a keyed locking mechanism, which allows you to open only the front door. The second door is locked shut and features a combination padlock.

The main advantage of using a document locker over traditional file folders is that these units are secure. Unlike paper files, document lockers are usually constructed from metal and glass. This makes them extremely difficult to cut through. And unlike regular filing cabinets, document lockers are sturdy enough to withstand heavy loads.

Another reason why document lockers are better than traditional filing systems is that they're compact. Most models are approximately three feet wide and four feet deep. This means that they take up minimal space and can easily fit under a desk or table.

As long as you keep your document locker clean and free of dust and dirt, it shouldn't attract unwanted attention. However, it's best to avoid leaving your unit unattended. Thieves may attempt to steal your belongings while you're away.

In addition to being secure, document lockers are durable. Many models feature a built-in alarm system that alerts you whenever someone tries to access your unit.

Although document lockers are expensive, they offer several advantages over traditional filing systems. Because they're portable, you can take your unit anywhere you need it. And since they're lightweight, you can carry them wherever you go.

Features To Consider When Buying A Drop Safe

Security features. The most important feature of a drop safe is its security. Make sure the lock is strong enough to hold thieves out. Some locks even have alarms that sound if someone tries to break into your safe.

Easy access. Another key factor in selecting a safe is how easily you can reach inside. Look for models that have pullout drawers or doors that swing open. This makes accessing items easier.

Size. Keep in mind that larger safes take up more space than smaller ones. Choose a model that fits within your storage needs.

Keypad. Keypads are often found on safes. They let you enter codes to unlock the safe. Look for safes with keypads that are easy to operate.

Accessories. Safes usually come with accessories such as lids, keys, and combination dials. Consider purchasing additional accessories if needed.
