WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It works great and ships quickly. I am not looking for a printer to print photos, but a solid color laser printer. I am very pleased with the results thus far. My third brother and I have not complained.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
The 'this printer does all of what I need in a printer. I picked Brother instead of HP, because HP did not provide me with the driver.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It seems like the ideal scenario, when the pantalla looks like it is in the mens general.

I have had a printer for nearly two weeks. It has printed approximately 200 to 300 pages. It prints very quickly and has auto duplexing. The colors look great. The quiet mode of my Brother printer makes the printer quieter than that of my HP printer. It slows down the printer somewhat, however it is nice to have this option since I am an early riser who doesn't want to wake my family while I am printing. I believe it is the quietest printer that I have ever used. I have owned several HP printers over the years but I doubt I will ever purchase another one. I have had a lot of problems with connectivity printing quality speed and annoyingly small paper trays. Why not HP 150 sheet input trays?
It was purchased to replace a brand color laser that had a part fail. This Brother printer is very good. We use Apple products such as the 27inch IMac, Mac Book Pro, iPad Pro, and iPhone. All these devices print directly to the printer wirelessly except the iMac which is connected via the network. The color gradation is exceptional, and the print quality and density for a black and white are near perfect. I observe that cartridges from various supply houses are more economical than my previous color laser printer. We just finished printing our Christmas cards. This printer can be used to print legal size spreadsheets, envelopes, laser labels and correspondence, including letterhead. I would recommend the printer as it is very good value for money. My correspondence appears very elegant.
My office had issues with our four year old Brother Drum unit and phaser, which led to my purchasing this updated printer. Installing was easy and Windows 10 recognized the driver for a printer automatically. The color is clear and vivid, and the print quality is similar to our $1000 Xerox. Highly recommended for use in small office settings with quality and reliable printing.
I purchased the Brother Color Laser Printer, model HL8260. I have used it to print around 23 000 pages between 2017 and 2018. The remaining 7,000 pages were printed in black. The printer is fast for single pages and speedy in duplex mode. This printer is very reliable, and in a business environment, it will not let you down. The only recommendation I can give is to not purchase non brand color toner cartridges. If you see toner accumulating, it is possible that the rollers may function a bit in the printer. That is probably why I only used black because it was very inexpensive to do so ($20 for a TN433 type). I will need to replace the drum where the toner cartridges sit inside the printer. The book is meant to last approximately 30,000 pages. Amazon has it for $140. I will likely make that purchase soon. When I was printing photos in color once in awhile, I did not like how they looked. I ended up purchasing an Ink Jet Printer to handle photographs. Lastly, do not attempt to move this printer around by yourself. I would have two people do it, one who does not have a bad back. This printer is heavy, so be careful. I plan to continue using this printer and hopefully it will give me many more years of use. Update April 18, 2019 I forgot to mention that I have not had any problems printing from my Iphone or IPad. I can locate the printer and print what I need to. The list of printers is available on Apple's website if you search the following Apple AirPrint list. The Brother HL-8260CDW is on their AirPrint list. In another review, I read that a person had difficulty printing from an Apple device. Some of my Apple devices are a few years old however, they do have the latest IOS installed as of April 18, 2019
It prints like a dream. I was in possession of an Epson. It was a nightmare since the beginning. This is quite easy to navigate. I can print from my phone. Enjoy that the paper comes out on top. The Epson is reportedly off the road.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I needed something that would handle high volume output without burning a hole in my wallet. Most laser printers appear to be good value when you consider the cost of toner. I searched for the toner for the most printers as well as the price of the parts. For this printer, I recommend an offline toner that produces 8000 pages for only $20. I purchased this one because I found that the cost-to-yield ratio is not very attractive on any price range. There are a few reasons why I bought this printer. 1. This is not a wireless printer. You must attach the connection via a printer cord to an USB cable or an ethernet cable. It needs one installed in order for a printer to work properly. It is monochrome, as it only prints black ink. It is not for you if you need color printing. It is not a scanner. It is a printer. If the connection to a computer is similar to the above, then it will work with Google CloudPrint. It took me fifteen minutes to setup, including unboxing and driver download. It works on both PC and Mac computers. I built it on both. Overall I feel that this printer is the best monochrome printer that I have ever purchased. It will give you a lot of prints for a low cost. It's basic but can be enjoyable in some contexts. I highly recommend this to anyone in the market for this type of printer.
Brother has been relatively Linux friendly for a while, as with all of their other printers. Brother provides drivers for RP and Deb based distributions. They have provided a script to help you install items. Obviously, the script failed in my case. I installed the Deb files, and my printer was installed. I used the ubiquitous systemconfigprinter program to set up the printer. It located the printer and provided various options for connecting. I purchased this printer to replace another failed Brother printer I had purchased a couple of years ago, a 5450DN. I set the IP address to a fixed from the printer console, on this particular model, the 5100DN. I did not need to locate the printer, but I would log in via the printer's Web server to set the IP address. Lastly, while downloading the driver, I received a popup telling me that there was an important firmware update for the printer. After the printer was set up, I logged into the printer's Web server and found another new feature, the firmware update button. I was able to log in again a few minutes later and discovered I had the updated firmware. This printer is much more userfriendly than the previous one. The older printer didn't have the best paper handling. To be clear, I would jam more frequently than I would like. This one has not yet jumped out. It was too dark at 600 and 1200 DPI. This one is quite dark. The item still functions flawlessly and is complete with no over the counter Gamma correction. I am raising this to five stars.
The second HL_AL5100DN, which we own, is over a year old and is used daily. Be careful with your Brother printer, just like with any other printer. You need a good surge protection. We have had many HP, Ok, Cannoni, and Brother lasers. HP has suffered, but in some instances their cost value has decreased. This is their toner and drum coast. The Brother H Series, which is the best because we use Brother's toner, is the best. We replace our printers every two to three years. Although our color laser, HLS4570CDW, is only about four to five years old and has been used at home and office. The laser printers are fast, multifunction, and under $300. The MFC-L2740DW is alright, but the manual feed does only one sheet at a time, just like HP and other.
I assumed all printers were connected to the internet. The printer is quite heavy but it is square and fits perfectly in my closet where my router was so it can be connected. The one I received was because my old printer did not support direct printing from tablets and phones. That section really works for me. Double printing works great too. I have printed shipping labels and envelopes using the document tray. I prefer Brother printers over HP printers because they do not add extra software. Windows 10 retrieved the printer from the drivers. I believe that Brother printers are written with the letters DNW. D means device printing, N means it plugs into a router for network printing, and W means it can attach to the network via Wi-Fi. This is great if the printer will not be near an Ethernet port.
I replaced my Brother HL5250DN with this newer model. The printing speed has increased, to 42ppm, and overall printer operation is substantially improved. The software control has been expanded, and operational features such as duplicates are now called sheet controls. The paper is heavier then an older printer but the printer does require more space on the tabletop. But, that is not a problem. It is a great printer, if you just leave it on, it will print correctly.
