WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I originally ordered the S120C shredder, but the heat had turned into a thick sticky substance over the left side and top of the shredder. The shredder worked very well, I just covered the sticky side with plastic from the basket covering. I asked Bonsaii about it, and they asked if it was okay with me if they replaced the sticky substance shredder with a different shredder art. The C234B shredder arrived within three days. The group refused to return the original shredder I purchased. With the best customer service I have ever had, I was like living in America again. I really love the shredder in the picture. The new one they sent me is the C234B. It takes eight pages at a time and then cross cuts them. You may be able to open it simply by observing the front of the basket. The top of the shredder has a handle, so it is very easy to lift the shredder top from the basket to empty. Bonsai provided me with go above the norm customer service. I recommend this shredder to anyone. It does not accept credit cards or CD's but the original sticky substance shredder does and since they do not want it returned I can use it for those items. It is good value for money. I just ordered Bonsaii Lubricant to keep my blades sharp.
My new shredder is quieter than my previous shredder that broke. I run the program even at night, when my children are asleep and they have no idea.
I have been using this shedder for several months, and it works very well for small quantities of paper. I misplaced my bin bin in the wrong place and forgot to turn it off, and then it stopped working. The Bonsaii Customer Service responded to my email immediately and solved the problem.
I have shredded a large amount of paper. Remember that it shreds in strips and is loud. To empty the bucket, you need to remove the shredder. It is small. It serves my purpose for the cost. I had ten trash liners of shredded paper and it took me days to recover. I am satisfied with my purchase.
Overall, I like the shredder. I have had it almost two months, and it has been doing its job. The paper was in it, so you can see that there is a window showing what type of shreds you have. I meant it was ready to be empty. I gave the shredder a 3 and it was quite loud but a 3 is expected.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It's my favourite because it shreds into little pieces. This mail will enter this in the immediate future.
I am very satisfied with the product.
It works perfectly in my home office.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I really enjoy this shredder. I have had P-3 and P-4 shredders but this P5 shredder is fantastic. The situation is quite, but my cat does not mind. It really does pulverize paper. I have one down side to the shredder. The amount of pages and the continuous runtime may not be a fair comparison. I believe that if it was fed individual sheets of paper continuously, it could probably run for the two hours as advertised. I do not think that you could run eight pages of paper for two hours before it overheated. The harder the shredder will work, is my experience with previous shredders. This will cause the shredder to heat up and decrease the continuous runtime. I am pleased with the way it works, because I do not plan to do two hours of continuous shredding at a time. After researching the P-5 shredder I believe this one is the best at a decent price.
We have been happily shredding an accumulation of old papers with our Bonsaii Paper Shredder. It has been faithful to all claims made by the manufacturer. We appreciate the fact that it will run continuously for over 90 minutes. Before it happens, we're tired. We appreciate the fact that it will turn off before it overheats. The finely shredded confetti makes a welcome addition to our compost heap also.
This shredder is nice and easy to use. I have to shred many things and this device seems to be capable of accomplishing it. It's nice and easy to use.
Do not worry if you like puzzles, you will never put these documents together again.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
Has shredded credit card offer mail. I like 'Paper with Staples', and 'Credit Cards'.
I have had numerous shredders, but this is my favorite because it takes a beating and does not complain when it is tired. The price is worth a few additional dollars so I do not have to stop every 20 minutes or hand feed five pages at a time.
It is more powerful and quieter than our previous shredder. All of us are happy with it. It arrived quickly and well packed, ready to go.
It is a great shredder, quiet, and easy to use'
It is ideal for our small office and is quiet and efficient. We are pleased with our purchase. It shreds fast with little noise. The shredder is compact, easy to move, and the drawer makes emptying very easy.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I removed a large amount of junk mail and file that had been piles of mail, and the machine did not overheat. I could not use it for very long before it cools but I used it on and off for approximately 20 minutes without issues. I like it. I would highly recommend it.
Just keep the sheets down to four at a time or it seems strained.
It does not work on Gingerbread Men.
I really enjoyed this shredder and it was very inexpensive. I took it slow and fed it four sheets. I opted for something cheaper, although I did experience a few issues. It was easily clear with pliers. The volume was sufficient to startle my cat, but the noise was what you would expect. I am happy to safely say Goodbye to bills and statements over three years old thanks to this shredder Pictured are four full buckets of shredding.
The product is good for the price. It shreds paper very well and has a neat safety mechanism that prevents its use when overfilled or not placed.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I recently used a shredder and I cannot say I like it. It's a monster machine that takes large documents. I became tired before it did. I bought it because of the long run time of 60 minutes. It outranks all other timers. I've never heard of this brand, but I decided to try it. Most shredders get stuck if the paper is not placed in it straight. It took a stack of papers, even when the papers were in poor shape. It has many advantages. I like the automatic reverse. If there is too much paper on it, it will run smoothly. It does come on automatically and the fan cools it down preventing it from stopping on you. The microcut can be used to decorate tables and papers. The slot for the papers is wide and not thin like other shredders. The garbage basket is very large so you can shred much paper without having to stop and empty it.
My parents had numerous items in their filing cabinet including junk mail, bank statements, and bank statements in six Bankers Boxes, two 18 gallon totes, and a four filing cabinet with drawers. I narrowed down what I ought to deal with and the rest went through this shredder. I ended up removing all the junk that I no longer need.
Our old shredder passed away suddenly, so I couldn't locate the same one because it was so old. I set out on an Amazon searching challenge to get one just like it. It seems that a big trend is to have a removable top. It is where you have to lift it off of the trashcan base in order to empty it. We did not want that. The two priorities were tiny cuts and a single made shredder with a bin that pulls out to empty. Even one with empty bins opens from the front in a rather strange way. After many order and return to Amazon and many searching local stores, I came across this shredder. I am happy with the fact that I would have liked to spend less. It is strong, cuts into the smallest pieces, and runs smoothly. I shredded a large box of paper and the machine did not overheat nor need a break. I overloaded when I tried to find its limits and placed more paper into it. I recommend emptying the slideout bin.
It has wheels and a removable compartment. That is exactly what I was looking for. It is possible using paper, CDs or cards. It sits neatly on the side or under a desk. The shredder works best when you are working on a stack of paper per day or week. I highly recommend it.
I purchased a paper shredder to replace a 12-year old shredder that had problems handling more than four sheets of paper without struggle. I wanted something that shreds at least 10 sheets at a time, or a credit card, and runs continuously for more than 10 minutes before needing to cool down. I am only interested in a shredder that was used in a private residence, so I was initially reluctant to purchase this machine due to the price. It is due to the Covid-19 pandemic that would make it difficult to use any shredders in a store with the current stayathome guidelines. I ordered another brand that cost approximately $75 less, but it arrived broken and with loose parts sliding around inside. I returned that one to Amazon the very next day and decided to order this one instead. I have used this Bonsaii 12sheet microcut shredder a few times since it was delivered ten days ago, but so far I am very pleased. I can easily chew up six to eight pages at a time, while actually being quieter than the old weaker shredder it replaced, and it does not seem to have any difficulty performing as intended. To maintain the shredder, I ordered a package of Bonsaii shredder lubricant sheets. I will probably avoid feeding in more than nine or ten sheets at a time, all so that I can hopefully keep this shredder working well for ten years or longer.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I ordered a Bonsaii paper shredder over four years ago, but thought that it was only two years old. This extra time at home has very badly messed up my time references. We thought it was over because it was so busy. I checked to see if I need to write a scathing review about how it doesn't last as long as one should only to realize that it was much older than I thought. I was pretty sure it was just past the end of life, so I ordered another one. I have not had the opportunity to use the new one. This purchase was a wonderful purchase I would recommend this brand to anyone.
I have been thinking about purchasing a shredder for years. I finally have and as soon as I opened it I tested it. So far I have shredded credit cards, old CDs, and six stapled pages without issue. I must go through more papers that need to be shredded. So far it has been very good.
It is easy to read. I do not know about having good features. I like this. I do not have any complaints. I've had no shredding and no credit cards I merely used paper and staples. The shreader stopped working. If I had the time more often I would have guessed they would have done it.
I enjoyed the product and it exceeded my expectations. This smaller shredder packs a punch. Some reviews complain of the 5 minute 'limit. You will not need to worry about the 5 minute problem. I shredded enough paper to fill two thirty gallon garbage bags over the course of three hours and it did not stop once. We can break up credit cards without missing a beat. This is a heavy duty shredder. You will not regret purchasing it.
I purchased it to replace an Amazon Basics shredder that gave up the ghost after a brief career in my home office. This one is heavier and feels better made, as reflected in the 10% price difference. It is still early, but I did not ask a lot of these questions and it's done eight to ten pages without difficulty. I stuffed them in waste bags.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I purchased this bad boy on November 19, and I would happily pay that price again. I am incredibly happy with this shredder. As others have stated, this is a disaster. Looking at the pictures posted. My friends and family are always amazed when I show them the results. They are like, Yes, it's a great shredder. How many times will you show us your shredder? They are always extremely impressed. Additionally, it makes excellent confetti to be thrown at your family and friends to remind them of its high quality. Identity thieves hate it too. That is a plus.
The shredder is really appealing. This shredder removes small documents so small that they almost resemble dust. The only small caveat is that it takes four pages at a time. My computer can read more than five pages at a time. It is a good shredder.
The price was reduced, but it only enhanced my complete satisfaction with it. The shreds are small, so security is not difficult. It is very quiet, and it is simple to have a normal conversation about it. I acquired it in order to obtain an alternative to paying a shredding company over $1,000 for shredding my business documents. The system has been running for almost eight hours a day for weeks on end. If I could change one thing I would make it faster but that is only because I have over 100 boxes of documents to shred. I also purchased the blade lubricant that is used after every few hours of shredding. These shreds are tiny and tend to become everywhere when emptying the bin, so have a vacuum handy. It has an internal fan, and I have not yet had it overheat. I have been in possession of three lesser shredders during the duration of my life. I highly recommend it but perhaps wait for the $165 price to come around again.
I only need five sheets at a time. I enjoy 240 minutes of running time. It is the best shredder for the money. This operation is very quiet.
I received a shredder and I am loving it for the following reasons. The shredder shreds the paper to very tiny pieces. I like my other Fellow shredder because it only cost me $100 at Costco seven years ago and I think it has P5 security level, but compare to this shredder, I am extremely impressed. It shreds credit card to P6 security level. It means no more cutting credit cards into small pieces and wasting time and hurting your hands doing it. The shredder can do a better job in only two seconds. Unlike other shredders that I have encountered in the past, who shred credit card into large strips that are not actually secured. However, the noise level is approximately the same as that of my fellow shredder. The item can be shred for four hours without stopping. My fellow shredder overheats after 5 to 10 minutes. As far as price is concerned, I think it is a fair price for a P6 security level that also shred credit card to the same security level.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I am a retired engineer and I find it difficult to please people. I did a lot of comparison shopping before I finally decided to buy the Bonsaii 4S30 paper shredder. My biggest requirement was that I want to shred paper nonstop without having to wait for the shredder to cool down. This is called a 100% duty cycle. Although the Bonsaii 4S30 does not provide 100% duty cycle, it allows the user to shred paper continuously for up to four hours at a time which is more than adequate for most people, including myself. In a nutshell, the performance of the Bonsaii 4S30 completely blew me away, it's absolutely wonderful. No, I do not work for Bonsaii or Amazon. When I first plugged the 4S30 in, I intended to shred merely a small number of test sheets. Instead the shredder worked so well that I ended up shredding a complete banker's box (12in X 24in X 12in) containing many years of old bank statements, credit card statements and brokerage statements. That is a large amount of paperwork. Bonsaii classifies the 4S30 as a P-5 security shredder. Let me tell you that the micro cut pieces of paper are chopped so fine that they almost look like kitty litter. Other than that unless you work for the NSA you do not need their 5S30 shredder which is classified as P-6 (highest) security shredder. The 4S30 is able to shred up to 10 sheets of paper while the 5S30 only shreds five sheets. So the 4S30 works much faster. One really nice feature of the 4S30 is its auto reversing capability. Thus, if you accidentally put too many sheets of paper into the input slot the 4S30 will not jam like most shredders. The 4S30 will stop automatically and reverse the paper feed by approximately one inch or so. It allows you to easily remove the paper, separate it into two parts, and feed it back into the input slot. It is very good. The 4S30 features manual controls that can forward or reverse the paper being fed into the input slot. Although quiet operation was not my priority, I soon discovered that when the 4S30 was shredding paper it is nearly quiet. The 4S30 has auto reversing capability, but these controls will rarely be used. I placed my ear directly against the unit because the only audible soft sound is the paper being cut. The motor and blower in the unit are quiet. I was able to shred paper while talking on the phone without a problem. The person with whom I was conversing couldn't hear the shredder work, nor could I. It is my second paper shredder. My first one was a Crocodile Crosscut C2000 shredder made in Germany. This shredder can only shred four sheets of paper at a time and it does not have auto reversing capability so it usually jams when I accidentally overload it with too many sheets of paper. The unit has a manual reversing switch, but it's still very difficult to remove the jammed paper. The 4S30 eliminates this annoying problem. When I first fed paper into the 4S30, the feed speed seemed to be slower than the paper feed speed of my previous Crocodile shredder. However, I quickly realized that the 4S30 can grind at least twice as many sheets of paper at a time, so it is actually faster. The Bonsaii 4S30 shredder uses a micro cut shredder to grind paper into small pieces. The separate slot on the side makes it possible for the material to be placed into a small container that was placed inside the paper bin to catch the ground up plastic pieces. It is a small container which can be easily removed. If the box is not replaced, any broken credit card CDs and DVDs will fall into the main paper bin and be mixed in with the ground up paper. If you decide to purchase the Bonsaii 4S30 shredder, you will not be disappointed.
I purchased this item to replace a Fellowes 99 shredder that stripped a gear after six years of heavy use. It is quieter than a Mac Truck. The Fellowes were like an asthmatic sprinter, groaning for breath and needing to cool down. The Bonsaii simply smiles. Think about a Bunny with all of the very sharp knives. I believe that security is paramount. Unlike the Fellowes cross cut strips, the Bonsaii's micro cut shreds would be virtually impossible to reconstruct into a document. With shreds smaller than many font sizes, there is simply no clue where to even begin. All CDs and DVDs are fed into a separate slot, which cuts them into strips. It is possible that with time, effort, and NSA friends you could reconstitute some of the data, but the effort would be significant. The Fellowes uses the main feed slot for CD's and crossescuts them like paper. I do not worry. I handle hIPAA protected data constantly. The only real problem? They need to be larger and roll smoother. Other reviewers have stated that they are correct. They simply do not roll smoothly and that is on a hardwood floor. It is highly recommended.
Reviewed after one week of ownership. Do not let the ten page limit worry you, you will not be able to keep pace with this shredder. I have been collecting materials that need to be shredded since my Fellowes shredder broke a year ago. After reading hundreds of reviews, I finally settled on the Bansaii 4S30 because of its 240 minute runtime and P-5 security level shredding. I have two complaints if I am going to pick this device. 1) The CD'ROM catch bin blocks far too much of the shred bin making the use of plastic bags difficult to remove once the bin is full. The shredder works flawlessly, other than those two design issues. It was hard to shred for one week but it was good. It will tire you out before you reach its limit. Two years later and still shredding. It is the best office product I have ever purchased.
We have a lot of sensitive documents and CD's that required destruction. The product did the job well and was so easy to use that my niece was looking for more useless items to shred around the house. For the function it does, this is very quiet. I wanted to make something using the compact discs because they were shredded into mosaic tiles that were very interesting. The catch container for the compact discs needs to be watched in order to ensure that you don't overfill it. She made a mistake. It was hard to remove it. However, we got it and did not break it like I thought we would. There is a separate catch container that separates the CDs and VHSs from the paper waste. You ought to remember that it matters to you. It is actually very simple to use. We only jammed it once because of the document that had my dogs rabies vaccination and metal dog tag, but she did not see it, so it got jammed in there. It took a few minutes but I got it out without damage to the machine. Also, it is extremely durable. Humpty Dumpty cannot be reunited. If you have documents, photographs, CDs, DVDs, credit cards, and more that you need to destroy, this is the device that's best for that job.
This shredder is probably the best and most expensive I have ever purchased. I have been using it for awhile and have found that there is virtually nothing I can put through it. I am performing our home office shred fest and I was able to shred almost continuously for approximately one hour. I've seen it empty three times without any issue. The maximum is ten sheets a ten. The unit will stop. I found shredding 7/8 sheets continuously beneficial. For a longer life, ensure that you lubricate the cutters after each bin dump. Use a liner, it is hard to get a proper size, and the waiting is too long, causes havoc. However, that is expected, I cannot rate this shredder any more highly. Time will tell if it is worthy at the volume I am shredding.
