Amarone is a red Italian grape varietal that produces wines of exceptional quality. It takes approximately ten years for grapes grown in the region of Veneto to mature into Amarones. This process involves careful selection of the vines, followed by extended maceration (a technique where the grapes are left to ferment slowly) before pressing and fermentation. Afterward, the resulting wine undergoes aging in oak barrels for several months.
Amarone is produced primarily in Italy, although it is gaining popularity worldwide. If you enjoy drinking fine wines, then you may want to consider purchasing a bottle of Amarone. Read our buyers guide to learn more about buying Amarone wine and how to select the best bottle for you.
