WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It was very easy to install onto my hardwired security system. The camera with motion detection will be able to emit light to enable full color. The range of view is impressive.
I really enjoy the picture quality.

Attention all current customers of Arlo who already subscribe to Smart Premium. I have been an Arlo customer since 2002. I have two original ARLO cameras two Arlo Pro cameras and one Arlo Pro 2 camera. I am also an existing Smart Premier subscriber and pay $9.99/month. I recently added the Arlo Ultra 2 Camera System and SmartHub to my existing setup. I assumed that my Smart Premier service would automatically revert to a free year of service. After spending extensive time with Arlo Customer Service to sort this out, I finally learned that in order to get the 1 year free of Smart Premier you must cancel your existing Smart Premier subscription before you add your SmartHub or Ultra Cameras to your existing setup. If you do not cancel your subscription before adding the SmartHub or Ultracameras you will not get the benefit of the free one year of service. To fix this, cancel your subscription, remove the SmartHub, remove the hard reset key, and then install Smart Premier again. In truth, I felt that Arlo customer service was superb. The person who assisted me was very patient and helpful. Apparently, many people are having this same issue. I thought I would find this helpful because I found nothing about it on any of the Arlo support forums. I believe setting up the SmartHub and Cameras was more straightforward than setting up the Arlo Lights or my previous Arlo Hub and Cameras. The 180 degree view is a game changer because of the video quality. I now have the ability to view the whole interior of my garage with the help of a single camera. The Ultra is expensive but if you are looking for the best camera available from any provider then this is it.
I replaced my Arlo Pros with these Ultras. The picture is incredible and the setup took me 10 minutes. You no longer have to set up cameras individually. Simply plug the access point into your router, and open your app. It is able to find the camera automatically. There is no more need to scan QR codes and similar symbols. These cameras have excellent night pictures and you get an added led light that you can turn on and off. When uploading anything to Arlo's cloud it will require some measurement of the bandwidth. I will leave a review for the next.
It may be true, others did, but I have been pleased from the beginning. The camera was mixed in with my Pro 2 cameras and had no problems with setup or connection. I was unable to complete my review within a period of weeks.
It was a great upgrade from Pro 2. Although it was relatively small, the launch was at the BB. I purchase a second four pack after my condition improved. I am now using eight Ultra Cams, each of which come with the addition of a 4K recording option. I might upgrade two Cams to a CVR plan once outdoor power cables are available. Five of eight camera are connected to the Solar Panel accessory and they are working great, too. I am very excited that additional accessories will become available as well as future firmware updates, resulting in better cams for your needs. I think that it is a reasonable system, because it is not cheap. An annual cost will be less than 300 USD (annual payment plan), after the initial free year of Arlo Premium including the 30 days of 4k motion triggered cloud recording upgrade on all eight cameras. I will try to answer any questions that are directed to me. I do not work for Arlo, but I still have several Arlo Pro cameras that I will eventually upgrade to Ultras to round out the ten camera limit on my plan.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I was disappointed with the feedback I received from your employees at Ring customer service regarding the ring solar floodlight. They say it would not work without the Ring Bridge. It would have worked without spending another $50. I'm disgusted by the misinformation that your techs seem to not understand.
The product arrived earlier than planned and was easily setup with the Ring app using the QR code provided. The installation was simple enough. Ring provides the hardware and a small screwdriver, but I would recommend a small powered drill or screw driver. The installation process took approximately fifteen minutes, including ladder setup, mounting time, and app programming. The mounting panel can separate from the light, so I would suggest that you charge the battery while you install the light mounting plate and solar panel mount, then program the light in the app while you're on the ground. The light then snaps into the mounting plate, and the solar panel snaps into the solar panel mount as well. The solar panel is connected to the bottom of the light via a rather long cord. The lights were installed on the east and west sides of our home into vinyl siding, with the solar panels directly above them, facing south, in the Northeastern part of the U.S. The screws provided are small enough to not pierce through the home, but threaded properly to grip the vinyl appropriately for mounting. The solar panel uses two screws and appears to add approximately 50% charge during one sunny day, keeping them from dipping below 80% even after multiple days of rain and clouds. I prefer not having to drill more, have a hard wired system, or have to climb up and down a ladder to replace and recharge the batteries, and the addition of the solar panel is worth the expense. The solar panel continues to work but at a slower rate even when it's cloudy. The Ring app allows you to link the lights to other Ring cameras and devices. It is possible to turn the lights on on a Ring camera if motion is detected. Conversely, if a light detects motion, then it can prompt a Ring camera to start recording. If you do not already own a Ring product for linking, the lights and solar panel will work as standard motion lights. After no longer sensing motion, light activation can be adjusted for multiple levels of brightness, sensitivity, and activation time. Adapter to the camera settings and brightness is available in the app. Motion alerts can be schedule to turn off and on using a customizable schedule. The lights can be articulated vertically and horizontally 90 degrees from center-laterally and 90 degrees vertically. This means that if it is mounted on a corner it cannot point behind the corner.Overall, if you already have a Ring system, and even if you do not use Ring products, it is a good solar option to minimize wiring and battery changes and charging.
I am familiar with ring cameras and spotlights. They are fairly easy to use and install. The network setup can be frustrating, but overall, it works great.
It's just like any other ring product and great value for the money.
I recently installed a floodlight ring in my yard. I am glad I did, since the battery holds enough power for many days. The spotlights are excellent at recognizing motion even my dog walking by. They are sensitive within two feet of the 90 degree angle under the lights and what appears to be approximately 170 degrees side to side. The Floodlights are easy to use with the Ring app, and they can be controlled using Alexa voice controls. Notifications and motion range are easily configured in the app as well. You certainly must consider this.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I use the Lorex surveillance camera system because it works and was sufficient to monitor or transmit my property to the monitoring cell. It reminds me when the ideal approach is home or away. Also, the monitor and phone have an intercom. In the HD photography industry quality is often impressive either day or night.
It was a nice picture and video.
It is easy to install, and comes with many options. It is absolutely essential for anybody seeking a good surveillance system.
I really enjoy these cameras. The picture is very clear at night. The installation was relatively painless and the company provides an app for free. To store recordings, no prescription is required.
I have an older computer with 4K and the product is awesome.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
Yes, he came, tried to kill it, then ran away. The dome POE camera was mounted in the ceiling, so he did not notice it at first. He unplugged everything he could find but it kept working. He is likely that he did not realize that the computer had its power delivered to him from another location using an Ethernet cable in the ceiling. So he whacked it with his trusty crow bar and broke the cover glass but it kept on working. He turned around and ran. The cameras are mounted in buildings on wilderness property that is located 200 miles from where I live. I feel reassured by the fact that I can see what is happening in that place anytime I feel like checking in and get alerts 24/7. I installed everything myself. The camera can do the job that I purchased it to do but I need to replace it. If it had been made from plastic, like most dome cameras, it would have been destroyed. This camera is still working, however, it is blurry around the edges where pieces of broken glass remain. I now understand why the reviews for these cameras are so high. I am glad I purchased Reolink.
I created a full function under the radar home property distant early warning system. If you have the initiative and some knowledge I would recommend self installation. I installed twice as many units with a half the cost and no monthly fees.
I have been using inexpensive Chinese cameras such as Vimtag and Amcrest and am very impressed with the quality and picture quality of the Reolink in comparison. The night vision quality is exceptional. The contrast in the products was great enough that I now remove all other cameras and replace them with ReoLink. The last straw for me was when I discovered that Chinese cameras are bombarding my router with attempts to communicate to unknown IP address outside my network. There seems to be no setting that is either allowing this or to disable it. I don't know what the purpose of sending data is. I really like the mechanical design with the ball in socket.
It is fully compatible with ReoLink NVR, has high resolution and a great price. I really like the illumination on their night vision. The installation process was relatively simple. Simply connect your Ethernet cable to the camera and a POE switch or NVR. The app is very easy to setup. The sd card option is a good option if you do not have the NVR. My cat loves the box.
A pair of amazing cameras would be a nice gift. The only negative aspects are the long tail for the connections and the difficulty of storing this when flush mounted to a flat surface.
