I was in the market recently for a new printer. The Ender finally passed away so I was looking for something that would not require weeks of calibration and attention to get a quality print. My friend recommended the Mingda Magician X even though I was skeptical. It is a newer company with little reviews. After using the Magician X for a week, I hope to shed some light on this sleeping legend of a printer. The printer you have been looking for is fantastic. You can read this article for more details. I received my printer, but it sat in a box for a few days. The MX is my fifth 3D printer, I was concerned with having to build another since the previous printers took over a year of building, testing, calibrating, and tweaking. In some way, though, I never made any progress. Anyone with an Ender will tell you that they are excellent machines. However the Mingda Magician X is amazing out of the box. The assembly processIf you have ever plugged a device into your computer such as a mouse or webcam then you have what it takes to "build" this printer. There is a clear perception that much time and effort have been put into the design of the MX in order to make it easy to assemble. There is no guesswork here. There is no mistaking what cables go where. I found assembling the MX much more simple than building IKEA furniture or plugging in a stereo. If simplicity is what you are looking for in a 3D printer it would be a challenge to find something better at this price point. The User Interface screen. I have used Octoprint on all of my printers but have never had a reason or use for a touch panel LCD screen. I was hooked after using it on the MX for a day. The layout of the user interface is perfect responsive to your touch. Navigates in a thoughtful and logical way, with few exceptions, I will detail further below. The user interface has everything you want and need for a successful print. After using it for a few days, I am afraid I cannot go back to a printer without a touch screen. It was a wonderful experience and it had good printing quality. The Mingda Magician X has outstanding print quality right out of the box. I printed PLA without material calibration and had near perfect results. After printing it for a week, I cannot justify spending time to tweak it for a 5% increase in quality. I would rather spend my time printing and developing, than tweaking and calibrating. I believe that some of them will eventually become standard features. Air bags were once a new item and only available in expensive cars. They are standard across the automotive industry as well as ABL mainly with 3D printers. Mingdas ABL system is unique from those I have ever seen and reaches a new standard in ABL systems. This allows the printing process to run smooth without the use of the bed leveling technique. If you are new to 3D printing, please understand that bed leveling is crucial to printing successfully. The MX has solved leveling problems with their integrated ABL system. It is excellent. I expect other printing manufacturers to copy this design. The belt tensioners are integrated, allowing for easy maintenance. Direct Drive is the most suited method of printing exotic materials. There are no more bowden tubes or retraction settings necessary to calibrate. There were some areas of improvement, such as the UI needing some cancel buttons. Experimenting with the options left me with no way of backing out unless I powered off the machine. The gantry was loose upon shipment, a conscious decision for shipping purposes, I assume. The instruction booklet does not tell you why they provided a wrench. That is a nice arrangement, especially for eccentric people. I believe it is the perfect printer for you. Im looking for a second or fifth, and Mingda Magician X is the perfect choice. The MX has become my daily driver and for good reason. Designs have done a great job and printing community will benefit from MX raising the bar with their simplicity. This printer outclasses all others that I have used at this level. I hope this review finds this underappreciated and spectacular printer of high quality. It is easily the best value for your money.

It is necessary that your printer maintains its print bed perpendicular to the extruder in order to produce satisfactory objects. Many printers are leveled manually. You adjust three or four wing nuts below the printhead while gauging the gap between the print bed and the extruder nozzle. Selfleveling printers can save you a great deal of time and headache. The printer uses sensors and motors to level before each print job. The Magician X selfleveling is functioning well and beyond the expectation. Full assembly is my favorite. I enjoy tinkering with machines, because I have the option of building a 3D printer from scratch. I can purchase individual parts and construct your own machine at whatever size you want. Only people with experience in machine building and 3D printing should attempt this process. Be prepared to make mistakes, and learn from them. There will be frustration along the way. I can save more time assembly it now that the Magician X 3D printer shows that. It's really simple to install. All parts are completed in five minutes. It will be the most advanced 3D printer.

Updated on 12/14/2021After my issue with the printer, to my surprise Mingda reached out to me and sent me a replacement printer. They offer exceptional customer service, and the printer is printing great now. We were able to resolve some issues together. It is Mingda, a company that needs to learn from its customer service program. They are very nice and knowledgeable about their products. First run features prone to bugs, as with any new product. I value how they work it out, and Mingda is above and beyond. This company is a great 3D printer. It has more physical length then the fabrics and other printers that I own. I did not receive an email regarding the bent adjustment screw. I needed to adjust the wheel tension for the hot end head. They were so loose I could almost pull the head off the rail. I had issues with under extrusion and ghosting, and I know 3D printing, but that did not work out. I was able to cure the under extrusion by figuring out manually checking what it physically extruded compared to what I told it to, and adjusted the estrogens. This helped, but did not cure it completely. I played with the extruder tension to no avail, and checked to ensure the filament was not binding. My guess is that the extruder itself. The ghosting is caused by the fact the base is plastic and the cross rail at the top is as well. Then they mounted the spool holder for the filament on top and the entire assembly shakes as it prints, causing serious ghosting. If you know 3D printing, you know the problems that come with the glass print bed. It is not the case, it's been shown in videos that stick so well. The screws I was using were bent and I could not get anything to stick and not warp. Needless to say, I sent it back for a refund even after the company never returned contact over the bent screw.

I will update the information once it becomes available. The video shows it began to grind in the X direction when I tried to auto level in directions from which I assembled everything correctly. I am excited to use this over my Ender three pro, I want to get a solution quickly. Update number one The customer service has been helpful, but I have to wait a few hours for a response. I removed the cover to make sure the cables were connected to the motherboard. Which they were. I also removed the cover to check the belt drive, to make sure it was not loose. I'm still getting the grinding noise when it moves along the xaxis. I am looking to obtain a printout of something. I am strongly considering returning this printer. I received a replacement very quickly and it worked perfectly. The printer is simple to use, and very quiet. My Ming Da advisor was exceptional, and extremely helpful. It is a fantastic printer and I would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice selection of colors in good sample lengths. Some of the colors I have not seen in any other assortments. There is a lot of metallic bronze and more of a metallic goldish green and metallic chartreuse. The six transparent colors are very light perfect for subtle jewels, vehicle lights, etc. My package arrived missing a couple of colors, but the customer service at Mika3D was great. When I contacted them about the problem, they responded by sending replacement material from China. Their communication with me was excellent. I am very satisfied. I will definitely buy their filament again. This photograph shows a spiral fluted vase scaled down from full size and printed 30mm tall. This is a single wall. It is the translucent blue. The fluting has reduced the transparency.

I bought this as a companion to the Scribd 3D pen the colors are lovely and it is a lot of fun to draw and experiment with different shapes. I use these coils with my CR-10 printer. I wanted a variety of colors for small prints and this was a great way to get a lot for a low price. I like the Mika PLA spools. They consistently have the highest quality. I was pleased with my prints. I now have 'D&D Status Condition Rings' in a lot of different colors, Ana Mardoll.

People complaining that the product does not fit in their 3doodler start, did not read the product description. These will work with the 3Doodler create+, 3Doodler 2.0, and 3Doodler Pro. They are about three mm in diameter. This does not fit into the 3doodler start and the supplier does not claim that it does. The first cartoon, 3Doodler Start, utilizes 1.75mm plastic. Plastic is good quality and I prefer the variety of clear colors. They were used to make stained glass windows for my DIY Dungeons and Dragons cabin.

I have purchased between one and fifteen different spools of filament, and I believe half of them are Flashforge PLA. They are cost effective, and reliable. I have been able to print with ease from my Adventurer 3 printer.

I have not had any problems with this filament. I had to remove a spool of iSantamate and it almost lost my prints because of jams or filament breaking between the spool and the extruder. I find this information is excellent. It is not as brittle after printing it seems like. I will purchase this again.

It took me just a minute to finish and didn't fit in my purse, but that is fine. The print quality is greater than what was shipped, and the product has been superior to the previous pack.

From the very beginning, when I printed it, I was aware that this was high quality filament. I am through the first reel with nice results on every project.

This pen is very interesting. Firstly, all 3D pen designs are not reliable. It is the reason so many people express issues. It is inexpensive and does not hold up well. The heating element in this pen is not working properly. This is my third 3D pen. I do not like them and think they are bad enough for us to eat. This unit can be removed and serviced if need be. Most hobbies involve 3D pens and printers. Like most hobbies, they can be quite costly, especially when breakdowns occur. If you are a hobbyist, then spending 30-50 every few months to keep producing art is not that much. This pen is lighter than other pen, which may make it seem somewhat inexpensive. The features in the pen indicate the quality. This pen will feed the plastic in two different ways unlike other pens. First, you can hold the button which stops the feed when released. Or you can double click the feed button and it will continuously feed which is nice for larger areas. The heating range is adjustable in one degree increments, which is nice for achieving the appropriate flow and consistency, as each plastic is different and use different temperatures. I attached the Gnome House using wood filament. Overall it is a decent pen. I have been using it for a few days so I cannot speak for its longevity. However, I have spent approximately fifteen hours with no issues. There seems to be frequent customer service for any issues you may have. I am pleased with the purchase. I was very satisfied with the other two brands that I purchased, but they did not hold up well. I hope to update this at a later time with an equally positive review.

I used this pen to mend 3D prints, and occasionally to weld 3D printed parts together. The instructions were really helpful on a 7/8 scale coach, it is fully printed, except for the platform and the connectors. I tried several other, but this one worked best because it does not clog, the stream of material is easy to control, and it feels good in my hands.

We purchased this pen after purchasing a generic pen that lasted one (1) usage, and then clogged. Luckily we were able to return the pen to the seller. I had a bad experience with this pen, but that was a good experience. The ABS filament I received from a highly rated seller on Amazon, was very well combined with this. The motor works seamlessly since the pen has been clog free. The change from white to black, and vice versa, is especially noticeable due to the grey initial extrusions from the pen. It gets a little hot near the tip, but oddly does not include the silicone finger tips that were included with the other pen. If you have younger kids, it may be worth it to get those finger tips for a few dollars more. The adjustable speed is nice and gives you a little more flexibility than other models. It is what you can expect from a pen like this one and it can stimulate your creativity without getting in the way. Hope that helps with your decision.

They asked a few questions and sent me a replacement unit that is working well. I do not expect all products to be defect free. Just that a company be accessible and responsive to problems. I'm impressed with the ability of the company to stand behind the product they sell. It does not heat up, nor advance the filament anymore. During a time when it was only working, it was fun. Amazon will not accept it back. I cannot find any way to contact the manufacturer. If I am successful, I will attempt to fix it, and then edit my review.
