WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I purchased this because I was not searching for a ruler. I recently discovered that the price was reasonable and decided to try it out. It was well worth the money. It is a great addition to my sewing supplies. I like the knob in the middle. I like how this has solid lines with one eighth of an inch. There are no dots or tiny lines like other brands. I did not know of this brand.
I bought this item in order to use as a guide for trimming edges on art prints. I've used it for approximately twelve prints of various sizes so far and it has worked perfectly. The grip knob is very convenient, the ruler itself is easy to move for precise adjustments, but does not slip once you apply pressure to hold it in place. Markings are clear, accurate and straight. An Excel knife is excellent because the edge slips smoothly along the ruler without catching or cutting into the plastic. I cannot envision any improvements for my needs.
I use this ruler to draft clothing patterns. I like the accuracy of having 1/8 marks. The ruler is thick and strong. The use of white vellum or medical pattern paper, from Amazon, over a white cardboard, helps make it easier to see the mark on the ruler. In my opinion, the ruler is the winner.
I loaned it out, thinking that my other rulers would suffice. I have been fighting for months now, and decided I need to just by this ruler again. It looks like it is an ordinary, mundane thing. It is the ruler that I reach for again and again. It is just the right size, not too small, but does not catch on everything on my table. I did put some medical tape on the bottom to make it more non slip. It is now perfect. I am happy that I now have one in my sewing room.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I am certain they are wonderful. They are a Christmas gift for me and I have not used them yet.
I really enjoy using this set, especially when making something. I need to fold it up, then do it again, then sew a seam. It is difficult to attain perfection. You want to sew something that is as close to perfection as possible so that it is durable. I used this ruler to try. I was ironing and it hot. I had been making quilt blocks with cotton and iron on. I twisted a piece of cotton into a half inch piece of cotton and ironed it, hoped that I was not going to melt the ruler all over my iron. I flattened the fold so I had exactly what I wanted. The rulers and iron can be used to make some things, like fold the edge over, flatten it down, then turn under again, to get the fabric folded. You can take a seam maker, such as Steam A Seam 2, or similar, and press it in between the main fabric and the hem, and your seam is complete. I already have a silicone piece for holding an iron, however, at my age I am nervous about setting a hot iron on a piece that resembles rubber or plastic. I'm just thinking of the mess. It may not happen but my fears are my fears. I would appreciate an explanation of the use of the squared out ruler. I searched multiple listings for this item and I was unable to figure out the purpose. I do appreciate getting these rulers.
These two pressing rulers are great for turning under hems and other edges of fabric when sewing. Do not measure, and then pin, and then iron around the pins. Instead, I can turn the fabric over as I go, because the ruler can withstand high heat. It's more pleasant to read that the ruler is marked in inches instead of metric measurements. I have been sewing for a long time to be able to convert it to metric. The description indicates that it is heat resistant. The information is in Celsius. Two20 degrees is a volteous temperature in the United States, and the average steam iron temperature on cotton sets is 400 degrees. There is a silicone pad that you can place the hot iron on.
I have used hot iron rulers before. They are simple to use. Lay them on your fabric, figure out your seam allowance, press the end of your fabric, and you have a perfectly ironed seam. They mean serious business. The laminate is not going to come off very soon, since it's made of flexible acrylic. I believe they will be able to handle the heat. I am glad I picked them up, I cannot wait to use them'.
I use different fabrics in order to prepare my skirt and I think it is fantastic.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I likely have at least sixty quilting rulers. I like this one because I am using a lot of jelly rolls. The ruler is good for those situations. I find it interesting due to the fact I am able to see through it. I do not like the yellow rulers where the printing covers up the fabric below. Additionally, this ruler has a kind of clamplike surface. This ruler is a great choice for someone who uses a lot of 2 1/2in strips.
It became my go to ruler. My second favorite is the 6x12 ruler. I am able to appreciate why most people prefer Creative Grids rulers over most other brands. I'm unable to justify paying more than the cost of a cheaper alternative for this brand. I am glad I took this ruler, because I know I will be using it frequently. It will not be an added expense considering its usage. I keep thinking that if I could only justify buying the other sizes.
I use this ruler quite often, it's been around for quite some time.
I am visually impaired. I am able to make one inch cut in such an easy manner.
This is how I use it to sew. I sew bags and use it to measure hardware placement, stitches and marking. The thickness makes it more nice to handle. It is important for me to mark the sides of products I cut. The thickness of the ruler is my biggest advantage.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It would be perfect for the log cabin I am working on.
My pattern features hundreds of two inch squares which are perfect for me. This quilt ruler is very easy to use.
Lightweight and easier to use. Provides various measurements which assist in tailoring the markings you want.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
It's a nonskid ruler, and I love it.
I really like the ruler it ships quickly'
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I have been sewing masks for several months and think I have enough to move on to my next project. I have a sewing project for a charitable cause in which I will need to cut fabric into fifteen inch lengths. Most rulers are only twelve inches in diameter. I want to be able to make the cut in one pass without a ruler being necessary since I will be mass producing the item. I believe that this is going to work.
It was very accurate and easy to read. I am careful not to break it, because it is not thick. It is kind of bendy, and I am not trying to see how flexible it is.
I really enjoyed this product.
This ruler is easy to slide around on the fabric while cutting. It could use a white number that stood out more, but otherwise it is perfect.
I really enjoy the speed at which it is delivered.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
The product functions well. I am using it to help me finish the edges of my quilt labels. I place the tool on top of my label fold the edge and iron it directly into the ruler. Later, I attach the label to my quilt. Allow the product to cool down between use so it stays hot after it is heated. It seems to have warped slightly, but works fine. I include measurements if you require them.
I wish I had purchased this set years ago. This is heat resistant at the highest iron settings with clear markings that make it easy to use. Having a single piece with a rounded corner has proved valuable. I am really happy that I purchased that product.
I really prefer these hemmers because they are bigger and easier to use on skirt and dress hems. The clover one I have is too short and difficult to use on longer hems.
I really need a thin seam to be turned.
It is easy to use and sturdy.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST:
I received the item in the box, I was satisfied by the fact that it was 5x5 in size and no seam allowance. Acrylic with clearly marked measurements. They arrived on time and without injuries.
I needed an accurate small square ruler to use in my quilting, as I had about a thousand HSTs to cut. This one is 5" square and is just what the crafter ordered it was when you are making two finished HSTs. You should not flip it to get the opposite side marked. You need to slide across the strip.'
The seller states, I purchased this product for the purpose of cutting 5inch square quilts. It is sufficiently thick for me to run my cutter right along the edge of it, and yield perfectly squared edges. It is exactly what was advertised. It may be a bit expensive but in my opinion, it is worth it.
I enjoy the size of this ruler. It is very difficult to find a ruler that is good and does not have that extra half inch. I use this rule regularly. I am very thankful I have it'
This is a nice five inch ruler. I like the yellow band around the edges, which helps you better visualize the seam allowance without adding more lines that can get confusing. It was used to trim 5inch charm squares and it works perfectly. I love that it came with gripper pads enough to allow me to add them to other rulers.
