WHAT WE LIKED MOST:

The Omnigrip Quilters Ruler 2 1/2 x 18 inches is a heavy duty non-slip ruler that will help you make precise cuts and accurate measurements. It has a high quality, durable acrylic construction and is made of a special non-slip coating. It has a double-sight line system that allows you to see the numbers on both sides of the ruler at the same time. The ruler has left- and right-hand numbering and angle systems. Use it with a rotary cutter or a straight-edge blade. The ruler has a patented non-slip backing to hold the ruler in place during cutting. The ruler is also available in 2 1/4 x 18 inches and 3 1/2 x 18 inches.

I have used it virtually daily for the last ten years. You will not find better, more accurate rulers, such as this one. It is also the most suitable for cutting the width of a quilt fabric right from the bolt.

I did not know I was missing a non slip ruler. Although it is more expensive than a cheap plastic ruler that you can get at the drugstore, this ruler does not move when you place it even if you are using a rotary cutter or an exacto knife next to it. It is clear and has enough markings to make it worthwhile for use. It also has useful diagonals for squaring. It has been used on paper and fabric, and it does great on both.

I find it helpful to sew patterns, add seam allowances, cut bias strips, and add grip on slippery surfaces without sliding. This is a must while cutting into your beautiful fabric. Have you ever had a ruler move accidentally and cut out too much of your good fabric? The ruler I bought was the most effective. After many expletives, it became apparent that I needed a better ruler. There is a version of the song called "Methodstick", but it is not available on Amazon at the moment. I strongly recommend that one as well. Omnigrip is the key to ensuring perfectly cut lines and corners.

It is the same width as two and a half inch quilting strips. It helps with cutting fabric for a quilt project.

It's a nice size and to have in your collection of sewing rulers. The nonslip feature aids in keeping the ruler in place while you are cutting fabric with your rotary cutter. The sixx24 ruler is a little clumsy while working on small projects.

WHAT WE LIKED MOST:

Our standard 18 inch aluminum steel edge ruler is perfect for measuring cutting drafting and any craft project. This ruler is designed to be used with our precision rotary cutters and also works well with our rotary saws. This ruler is constructed of high quality 18 inch aluminum and is an excellent tool for any craft project. It has a black steel edge which provides a smooth surface for cutting. The finger groove and raised edge protects your fingers while cutting with a hobby knife or rotary blade. It is also ideal for any art project.

This is an excellent ruler. I bought this rule after using one of the cheaper stainless steel rulers with no non slip backing. The low cost rules caused several injuries due to the pointy edges and lack of grip. This rule is ideal for students in Industrial Design. The cutting edge allows you to use an Xacto knife easily without damaging your knife or ruler. A ruler with countour allows for easy gripping. I believe the ruler is probably one of the most expensive rulers I have purchased, however it is truly the best. I would prefer it to fit a low budget student.

It reads, 'I purchased this ruler based on the recommendation of a graduate assistant in my architecture studio.

I love these and have them in more than one length. I prefer the steel reinforced cutting guides.

All people comment on how cool it is.

This is the best ruler or straight edge I have ever used. I use my Xacto knife frequently, and this is very good. I paid for this. I am not affiliated with this product or company.

It was ideal for my application primarily for drawing. It will not reach the end of the ruler. That is exactly what I prefer but your needs may differ from mine. Cork back helps hold rule slightly above paper so ink does not smudge. The scale has nice contrast and is easy to read.

I used a metal ruler and a utility knife to tear paper. I enjoy the rulers in my craft room.

It is flexible and exactly as described.

I received two rulers in a box which was not good size for what I wanted.

I enjoy that I can move this freely. It is more satisfying than a standard steel rule.

Buyer's Guide

How To Choose The Best 18 Inch Rulers

If you have ever bought a set of kitchen utensils before, then you probably already know what a good set looks like. You may also know that they come in various sizes, but not necessarily their exact measurements. If you are wondering where to start when shopping for a new set of cutlery, here are some tips to help you get started.

What Are 18 Inch Rulers?

An 18" ruler is an essential tool for any craft project. It comes in handy for measuring everything from paper to wood to fabric.

Who Needs 18 Inch Rulers?

An 18" ruler is a handy tool for any kitchen. Whether you use it to measure ingredients for cooking, bake goods, or cut paper goods, this versatile piece of equipment has a place in every home. But did you know that there are other uses for an 18" ruler?

There are several reasons why you might need an extra long ruler. First, it makes measuring things like cup sizes and baking pans easier. Second, it's useful for cutting fabric and wrapping gifts. Third, it's perfect for marking off areas on walls and floors. Finally, it's a great way to organize your pantry and refrigerator.

But how do you decide which size ruler you need? Here are three tips to help you figure out which one you need.

The Importance Of Purchasing Quality 18 Inch Rulers

If you have ever bought a kitchen utensil, then you've probably noticed that many items come with a warranty card. This is because warranties protect manufacturers against faulty products. Unfortunately, most people never read their warranty cards. They simply throw them away after they receive their purchase. So how do you ensure that you're getting the best deal? Read your warranty card closely!

Warranty cards often include instructions on how to use the product. Make sure that you follow those instructions. For example, if you're buying a knife set, make sure that you read the instruction manual first. You'll learn about proper care and maintenance of the knives. You may even find helpful hints on how to sharpen the blades. These details are very important. Without knowing how to properly maintain your tools, you could damage them.

Another thing to keep in mind is that warranties vary by country. Check your warranty card to see where it covers you. If you live outside of North America, you might want to buy a different type of tool. For example, if you live in Europe, you might want to invest in a European style bread slicer instead of an American style one. Or maybe you'd prefer a Japanese style vegetable peeler rather than a standard model.

You should also take note of the warranty period. A warranty usually includes a specific amount of time that the manufacturer guarantees that the product will work. When you're looking at the warranty period, make sure that you understand exactly what it means. Do you have two years of coverage or five? What happens if you break the product within the guaranteed period? Will you be able to return it? How much will it cost to replace the broken parts?

Finally, make sure that you understand the terms of any extended warranties. Extended warranties typically cover additional time beyond the original warranty period. For example, if you buy a warranty for three years, you might be covered for up to six years. If you buy an extended warranty, make sure that you fully understand the terms of the contract. Otherwise, you could end up paying for something that isn't worth it.

Stainless steel. Stainless steel is durable and strong, making it ideal for kitchen tools. In addition, stainless steel is hypoallergenic, meaning it doesn't react with food or other substances. This makes stainless steel perfect for cutting boards, measuring cups, spoons, spatulas, knives, etc.

Ruler length. The length of a ruler is important, especially if you plan on using it often. Choose a ruler that has enough room for you to write down measurements easily. Some rulers are longer than others, so check the measurement markings on the ruler to ensure they fit comfortably on the surface where you plan to measure.

Cork. Cork is lightweight and flexible, making it great for storing items such as spices, condiments, etc. Cork is also moisture resistant, making it perfect for keeping liquids fresh.

Slip cork. Slip cork is made of natural materials, including cork bark and tree sap. These materials create a soft texture that feels nice against skin. In addition, slip cork is waterproof, making it ideal for sealing containers.

Base material. The type of material used to construct a ruler is important. Look for rulers made of wood, plastic, metal, glass, etc. Wood is typically more expensive than plastics, but it lasts longer and is easier to clean.

Different Types Of 18 Inch Rulers

When shopping for kitchen tools, you should always look for quality items that last. When choosing a ruler, you should consider how long you plan on keeping it. For example, if you plan on using it every day, you might choose something that lasts longer. On the other hand, if you plan on storing it away for future use, you might go for something that is less durable.

18 inch Rulers. These are the most commonly seen rulers. These are usually made from plastic and measure up to 18 inches in length. 18 Inch Rulers are inexpensive and easy to handle. However, they are not very durable and can break easily.

12 inch Rulers. These are slightly smaller than 18 inch rulers. 18 Inch Rulers are also made from plastic and measure up to 12 inches in length. 18 Inch Rulers are cheaper than 18 inch rulers and are therefore better suited for occasional use. However, they are still fairly cheap and can be bought cheaply.

10 inch Rulers. These are the smallest size of rulers. 18 Inch Rulers are made from metal and measure up to 10 inches in length. 18 Inch Rulers are the most durable of all the rulers discussed above. These are also quite heavy and bulky. 18 Inch Rulers are therefore not suitable for everyday use.
