The assembly is difficult and difficult. It was ultimately extremely easy to assemble. After it was assembled, the box was very solid and attractive. I would recommend it without reservations.
I love this storage box. It was packaged with a locker, and it took me two minutes to assemble, which is quite convenient if you follow the instructions. In addition, the volume is larger than I expected. You can place a storage box in an unobtrusive location in the living room or bedroom. The box has a stable structure. I can even sit on it.
This solution protects my boxes from theft by leaving them in the rain. It is small enough to be discreet from the street, and big enough to hold a couple of boxes.
It is easy to put together, opens and closes easily. I am not knowledgeable about watertightening, because my deck is covered.
I am happy with the product.
It was exactly what I had expected. I was very pleased with the purchase.
The typical process when evaluating a purchase is to read negative reviews first. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase the product, and deal with the negatives so that it would meet our needs. The slim design falls apart when the lid open side pop together but do not stay. The package arrived with six durable pieces of molded plastic a small plastic bag with four screws two plastic strips and of course a sheet of directions. I was ready to address the negatives as I am not the author. As a red blooded American male, I did not read the directions and attempted to assemble the box with my wife. In my opinion, it seems that no one would sell such an unintelligent product, however, as I began inspecting every piece we realized that the sides were not lined up correctly. The box does not pop into the front or the back they are put into the wide part of a slot and then slid down into the narrow slot area that "locks" them into the front and back of the box. So we connect the front and back and put it on the bottom of the box. The back was not solid, it would slide off if you moved the contents. We flipped the bottom over and lined up the sides again and it fell apart. I noticed on the bottom inside that it said, This Side Down. I looked at the tabs on the bottom of both sides front and back and it was clear that they were not locking into the base. Now I am wondering if this is a bad design. Okay, I guess it is time to read the directions, to see if I am missing anything. You are supposed to take a block of wood hammer and a screw driver and punch out the tabs that are keeping the box from locking together. Is this product being manufactured in an injection mould that requires purchasers to slam the plastic with a hammer and a screwdriver? I have repeatedly damaged plastic in my existence with a hammer, and know that a hammer can crack and damage an object, that is if you miss the intended target when you strike it with your screwdriver. Instead, I put the blade in the thin part of the plastic between the tab and the bottom frame piece. Holding it up to the sun shows that the plastic is buffed by the light. I had previously made a cutout of all the tabs and then tried assembling again. When we moved the box it slid, or turned upside down. It was a very strong box. We were pleased with this and the lid arrived afterward. It was constructed using molded hinges. A pin was required to slide through the molded hindge to connect the lid to the base unit. It was simple. When the lid closed, there was a small snap. I think it was the snap that made you feel the snap. The bench was very sturdy and held together beautifully. It was not water proof. If you submerge it, water will get in. It is water resistant and cannot be ejected from a rain pool or from a hose. The purpose of this is to allow water to pass through instead of through the box. This product does everything it says it can, and all of the negative aspects reported are a result of user error. I would like to make a final note. I did not receive a set with dividers or a lid net. I was told by Amazon that it was supposed to come with them. They had intended to send me a new one, but I would have had to take it apart. I returned the box, which I did not believe was safe and safe. I kept the box and they sent me a partial refund on that basis. I am very pleased with the product and Amazon.
I purchased the medium deck box and assembled it yesterday. I see reviews that the pieces are loose and do not fit together. The tabs did not seem to snap in place until I realized I had the bottom piece upside down. I turned the bottom piece over and noticed the side panels snapped in place. The most effective way to assemble this box is by punching the tabs on its bottom. Make sure the bottom piece is straight up. When you look inside the box, the finished side should be seen.
This is my second rubbermaid deck box. I had the first one for eleven years then made the mistake of storing my bird seed inside. The box is extremely sturdy, but mice found the seed and chewed its way into it. The box had a very good history, until I noticed all the plastic shavings on my deck. I will admit this is still an extremely good deck box. Unless you want to invest in iron, the little creatures can get inside anything. I have never had a problem with moisture in this box. It is a great investment, which is why I purchased the box a second time.
I knew a porch pirate decided to steal two packages from me within a week. I purchased a couple of cameras and this thing and I am glad I did. Let me say, first, it is heavy, but you want it to be. I did not have a lot of trouble assembling it. I assembled a lot of things. I understand if someone with little or no experience assembling things has an issue. Please calmly follow instructions. I found this product to be very effective and I am very happy that I purchased it. It seems a lot of money when someone stole the equivalent of $20.00 worth of items from me. I made sure to get a sign so that people who deliver know that packages go inside this thing. I only had one delivery man appear dumbfounded, and since I had cameras, I could see him trying to open the thing on the porch and went out and saved him embarrassment. The pin pad was annoying to setup. The instructions are nice, so make sure to read and memorize the method for entering the pin to save for the first time. It took me many times to do the correct thing because it does not give you as much time. You must essentially complete the activity correctly or repeat it until you have completed it. If you hit one button you can enter a new pin by hitting another button. If you can't press the button you need some help setting the pin. Other than that this has been one of the best purchases I have ever made
It is sturdy, it is easily assembled, and comes with everything you need. The locking mechanism requires 4AA batteries (they provide them), screws to assemble, a cement drill bit to secure it, and concrete anchor screws to secure it. Are you starting to notice the pattern? You have to assemble it. It is good because you can see the quality in the construction and the ease of solid assembly. I have read reviews and they say it took an hour to put together, but it is not an easy piece of junk. Would you like to be the pig whose house is made of straw? The only problem is that they have removed the URL containing instructions for how to register your code with the major carriers. The reasoning made no sense. You should update your address with the lockbox code, with FedEx, UPS, Amazon, and tell your post office the code.
It is easy to assemble with a screwdriver. Follow instructions and get the parts laid out correctly. I set up the project in ten or fifteen minutes alone. Two is easier. It comes with everything you need to attach it to a base, which is optional. I plan to use a wooden base that I will secure to a fixed object. The delivery person will receive an instruction manual, including a key and door hanger.
I ordered this on Thursday and received it on Friday. It took me about 20 minutes to compose. I've been changing my mind on the passcode, it takes me five extra minutes to program the lock. I found the Masonary drill bit and Phillips bit to be useful. I simply used a regular screwdriver to put the product together. What is the manufacturing problem, that is, the complaints regarding it not working in the real world? Why give them a 1-2 star for something that is out of their control? If your post office is not using it, complain to them and write letters to your states postmaster. Your takeaway from this review is that it is great. I bought it for my business so I can offer contactless pickups and I find it to be very convenient. It is a second form of verification that I have cameras at the entrance. The code can be easily changed so I can reset it each week. I am sure they will be upgrading one day.
It was assembled, then it needs to be mounted, and then plugged in. I am pleased with my purchase.
My phone and mailbox seem to have good connectivity, but seldom do I receive an updated image from the camera. Maybe I didn't get a good one.
I am very fond of this intelligent mailbox. There have been reports of stolen packages and in order to protect ourselves, I thought this would be perfect. The Danby Parcel Guard sits in front of your house and acts as a hub for your parcels. The motion activated camera in the smart mailbox allows you to see if someone is in front of your house. When FedEx, UPS, or the US Postal Service deliver a package, they put the package in the smart mailbox and it drops down into the locked bottom compartment where it is hidden and secured. You will receive a motion detection alert and delivery notification on your mobile device, along with a video. The Danby Parcel Guard sits in front of your house, and acts as a hub for your parcels. Boxes work for men. I had to put a sign at the door for the delivery man to use it, but he did set the parcel right in front of the sign sometimes. You should train the delivery people as this is a new item on the market. The problem is that the key lock froze and was unable to open with a key. If the app had an easy way to open with it, they would lock their parcels in a box in order for us to access them. The second issue is that a registered letter when put in does not register that it was put in. Notification and the camera are wonderful features. Live stream access is another great feature. The key lock has everything in it.
I thought the delivery companies would not use it. When I purchased it, I was nervous. I had become tired of packages being stolen off of my porch, so I thought it was worth a shot. So far I have received all of my deliveries safely. The most wonderful thing about it is that it can be left unlocked, and it will automatically lock when a package has been placed inside. That means it is easier for the delivery driver. The only negative thing that I can suggest is the lid is plastic and the lock could be easily overcome with a pry bar. I would rather that the frame was more durable, or two locks were placed inside the corners instead of one in the middle. I would purchase this again and would recommend this to anyone I used a bike lock to lock the box to a post outside so it can be locked in place. It has a light built in, for use after dark. Whenever it is opened, it will send alerts to your phone.
I purchased the BenchSentry to deter porch pirates. I had set aside my time to figure out how to do that and we did not know what could happen. Visit the website for the latest and greatest version of the assembly videos or instructions. The bench is made of plastic, but is quite strong. It is possible for a thief to enjoy anything if they want to do it for their benefit. It would require a time that they do not want to use. I had minor issues with the initial setup, but Jen helped me through it. It was a software update that got hung up. She uploaded an update to her end and everything works great now. It is easy to add scheduled deliveries. BenchSentry looks good on our front porch, and it is behind a large plant so it is not really obvious until you get up close. The biggest problem so far is getting the delivery people to put packages in it and not on top of it. I finally used the sign provided and they are using it more now. Upon looking at the photographs, I realized that the bench has a light that comes on when the lid is opened. I did not know that, this was my first time to open it on Christmas night.
When I posed a question about the installation and left a voicemail message, the technician came back to me within an hour of the question. He spent about 30 minutes with me and I admit I have not used this since I have not been out of town He waited five minutes to answer my question, however, he provided some useful tips, tricks, and information to make the rest of the time. The product is of great customer service, the bench itself is easy to assemble, and very strong.
The only negative aspect is that you are required to upload tracking numbers into. Otherwise, the system will not recognize it. It is rather spacious.
It is only next to my front door and the delivery people started using it instantly. It's a tiny lock. It's terrible. It would be a huge pain for delivery people to use. You could get a different type of lock however, because I have several delivery people they would not be able to have a code for it. I did not understand why they did not lock my package in. I bought it so it is less noticeable than an Amazon package. It is less likely for a passerby to notice it. I also want to keep it protected from the weather. The lining is of a type of nylon, so the assembly was straightforward.
The delivery box was very easy to assemble. I am glad that was the case, because it is bigger than I thought it was. My package will be safe and out of sight. The box is clearly marked for delivery.
The parcel box is nice size. I had to purchase a separate bicycle lock to tie it to the post. Purchase a combo lock and make sure to give the code to the delivery person. So far, so good, and some peace of mind from the sneaky porch pirates.
After observing suggestion from others I spray the box with waterproof spray, then set it on bricks and then simply use a brick for opening and closing so the mail person would not have trouble getting in.
