I think that is a nice compact safe. It is good for storing small items such as passports and other similar items. The document, which is of letters dimensions, has to be folded or rolled before it is placed. It is a perfect size if you do not have large stacks of documents to store. It is made in a quality material that feels solid. It was unclear whether the battery cover should be removed entirely so that you can put in the batteries. Once it is removed, it is easy to replace the batteries. Setting up is easy, even for someone like me who had never operated a safe before. I am very satisfied with my purchase, but I haven't tried the mounting function yet.
The cost of a top quality safe is between $1,000 and $2,000.
The safe is well constructed, easy to use and easy to program. The safety exceeded my expectations, and was not fireproof. Keypad is easy to use, in the event the keypad battery goes out then you always have the two override keys. It is made of strong steel and has holes drilled in the bottom and backside for securing to a floor or wall. I would advise buying your own lag bolts. Or drill through the floor. I have long enough bolts to go through the floor. I find them in the basement. The provided screws will not prevent anyone from taking your safe. Other than that, this safe gets a five star rating from me.
This was ideal for my purpose. I would tape the battery cover to keep it in place. The battery does not fall out. Sometimes, however, the cover appears to pop off. I planned ahead, and I noticed that this is fairly normal for these types of cases. The programming is very easy to understand. The key works well if necessary. This product is safe and offers great value.
I normally do not write review types, but I felt compelled to review this safe. I own another deposit style safe from SentrySafe and have been satisfied with the overall build quality. I was looking for a slightly larger safe that offered more organization and usable space. The safe is very high quality and sturdy. It has several useful features including soft inner light backup key access and carpeted shelves. The great look, fit, and finish make this safe. Many of the negative reviews point to a flawed battery compartment design. The battery compartment for the safe is located on the inside of the safe and not behind the keypad on the outside of the door. The safe must be open to change the batteries. The battery tray and lid along with the heavy safe door that closes, can disconnect the batteries and render the electronic keypad unusable and you will need to manually open the safe. It defeats the purpose and convenience of the electronic keypad altogether. Some people have reported a few jerryrigged solutions like inserting a piece of cardboard between or taping the batteries in place. I had extra furniture foam pads, the kind you stick under chair/sofa/table legs etc., to prevent scratching hardwood floors. I stuck a few of them across the inside of the plastic lid cover. This eliminates the gap and secures the batteries in place when closing the safe door, regardless of how hard I attempted. The problem is resolved. I completely agree that this is a major technical failure in the engineering and design of an otherwise extremely high quality safe. I took a risk with a minor modification. I couldn't be happier with the final quality and value of this safe.
Excellent safe, I am very pleased with this purchase. After sifting for a safe for multiple pistols I own, I came across this safe by accident, and overall it had everything I wanted. I looked at other safes that I found small, flimsy, and even though they featured biometric functionality, my opinion was mixed. A safe was broken into by children and the other was struck with a solid fist. These stories were rare, but the fact that they happened left me very cautious of making a purchase. Not only is this safe larger than most within this price category, but the door and four bolt locking system is very robust. The heft of this safe has left me confident my firearms will be safe from curious children and it was very pleasing to see how solid and well constructed everything looked. Some users have noted carpeted shelves as flimsy and easy to give way. Yes, the shelves are very basic, but I had no difficulties securing them in place with several firearms worth of weight that did not cause them to tilt or break free. Choose between one or more areas, there are multiple possibilities. The locking mechanism feels sturdy, as are the four heavy duty bolts. The door has a nice solid heft to it. The keypad was easy to program and is very easy to use with soft push button keypads that allow you to input a five numerical code, except the item number 00000, which would be ludicrous to use. I prefer numerical keyspads versus biometrics. The more I read about biometric access, the less certain I was. The included bolts are very heavy duty and would be very effective in keeping anyone from removing this safe from your residence. Without bolts, a malicious person could pick up the safe and walk away with it. As demonstrated by the fact that our FedEx driver carried the safe into our home.Access can be made with the keypad code that you enter or in the case of battery failure, or forgetting your access code, the safe comes with (2) skeleton style keys. It is attractive that the key entry is hidden behind the removable keypad, which is not obviously visible. I appreciate this hidden aspect because it is important to be well informed to utilize this feature correctly. It is highly prudent such keys are hidden with great care, as curious minds could easily ascertain this information with a basic Google search. If you have young children or teenage teens, it would be nice if interior LED lighting would illuminate the safe, but ensure the set of keys is in a locale they cannot find, allowing them to have instant access to the safe. You can easily find auto illuminating LED's for this application, so this is an easy addon to a well built safe. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I look forward to utilizing this safe to its fullest potential.
I purchased this item to use in our retail store office. A former dial combination safe was difficult to operate. This safe is easy to enter the combination. The keypad is not working due to the loose batteries. It has worked perfectly since we finally added thin foam to hold the batteries in place.
The quality seems to be good. However, I am not a good safe person, so I would recommend this to others.
I think people aren't understanding instructions. Once you figure it out everything works fine. I am very happy with it. When setting your code, and any time you open the safe, the instructions do not make clear that you must have your master key inserted and turned to the right just the master key not the round emergency key. As far as the battery concerns in the reviews, you must install batteries in the provided battery pack and plug it into the bottom of the key pad for the first opening. Once opened it must have the master key inserted and turned. Remove all batteries from the box and insert them into the back of the key pad located on the inside of the safe. With the use of code reset instructions and keep the master key inside everything should work correctly.
The safe is heavy, but it has great features. It also matches our decor, and is fireproof or waterproof, because they are easy to fit inside. It shipped on its own mini pallet and well boxed. I am impressed with the service and product.
I was looking for something safe and the best price for that item. I knew the safe had everything that I needed. The pad is digital with multiple locking mechanisms. The interior design is great with an additional secret compartment that can store documents and a small safe for jewelry, wallets, credit cards, or anything that may fit in there. I have been surprised beyond belief. The item will be recommended to others for price, size and locking style.
This is not a new purchase. I was not disappointed in any way.
We received a wall safe for our keys called Jugreet. I am quite pleased with it. I ended up getting another one for our office paperwork. I think the mounting hardware seemed to be the only problem that I had. You could use different mounting brackets but otherwise it was awesome.
It was advertised and delivered in a timely manner. It is lightweight, but if you are concerned that someone may take it, anchor it onto the floor or wall. Our place is for keeping paperwork.
Recently I recently did a lot of research to find a home safe. I am sure my decision is correct. This high quality safe is really heavy duty and reliable. The exterior material is very sturdy. It is perfect because of the internal structure and its high capacity requirements. Also, it is user friendly and easy to setup. The mini safe inside the box enhances the safety. I also tried the anti theft alarm. I do not like it at all, but I did enter incorrect passwords multiple times. It is a perfectly safe to use. I highly recommend this to all those who are looking for the safe box. 50 off is a great deal.
It is for personal use and to store important documents. The size is perfect for fit in the changing room. I like that it has a top lockable box inside. That would be great for wallets and passports. The password was set easily without trouble because the user manual is easy to read and it's easy to assemble. There is a downside, and it is heavy. The weight is approximately 40-50 pounds. I hope it can be a little heavier.
I wanted to write this review because of the things that I have read concerning this safe and other safes in this price range. Do not be fooled. If you order a safe mail order there is a good chance that it will come dented. It might look a bit ugly but it does not affect its purpose. Nature of the beast. Do not worry about it. The fingerprint reader is good, but not perfect. Don't expect perfection with sloppy fingerprint readings. You will not have any issues if you hold your finger on the sensor exactly as it was recorded. In third place, it is very light. You can fix it to a wall or some heavy furniture. This safe is not a complete definition of security when it comes to safes. Do not treat it like Fort Knox. Treat it as a barrier against theft. But do everything else to protect your precious things. This is a simple way to be safe. It is not waterproof. When set up correctly, it will provide adequate protection against unauthorized access and theft attempts. Certainly, just hide it safely. Anchor it to a solid object. In addition, have a home alarm system that sirens during the entire time the thief is trying to decide how to remove the safe from your home if he even finds it. You might return home to the safe with the thief behind. However, your fingerprint reader may be a good idea if you are more frightened of what can happen. It's quick compared to other biometric devices that I own. The device unlocks the safe in under a second. It is able to detect when the finger is pressed against the sensor. Other devices require an activation button for biometric scanners. Everything has been working perfectly to date. I appreciate the safety features of this application.
Before making the decision, I researched purchasing this safe for three moths and it was the safe best suited for my needs. The following are some key decisions to make about these topics. It is important that it is not too big so it is easier to secure. It is not very bright, but when the lights are off, it is not blinding either. It is not a heavy safe, so fitting the locking bolts centralized into place with the four mounting bolts included is highly recommended. You should consider that this is not a firesafe. I already had a fire safe for my documents.
In order to close our bank's deposit box, I researched safes. It seemed to be the safest for us for all of the features. It is not fireproof, but it is very well built. It arrived quickly and appears to be very easy to learn to set the different ways to enter. There are a few small chips of paint around the door. I am very happy with the Safe. It would be worth purchasing it again.
